I have been trying to get the “faster than 250 mph in any car” achievement to work for a few days now but for some reason it wont work.
I have used 4 different cars on the old le mans track with the nice long straight in free play and each occasion have gone over 250mph (in the case of the McLaren f1 269.6mph) but it will not give me the achievement.
Am I doing something wrong or are other people experiencing the same issue as me?.
Did you have the bug with some multiplayer achievements being awarded in single player? I did and since the last patch I have been unable to earn new achievements. This may be the same issue.
Yes I did funnily enough.
BTW using an x-box 1 if that makes a difference.
Did you actually complete the race? Set it to 1 lap and make sure you cross the finish line.
Yeah every single time, very odd, although somebody else has posted that they have had an issue the same as me with multi player stuff being awarded in single player and since then not being able to get any achievements. Must be a bug in the system which will hopefully be fixed soon.
and don’t use rewind
people have posted in other threads that using rewind somehow stuffs up that particular achievement
cant remember, I will try it again in free play on a one lap race with no rewinds and see if that does it.

You are correct didn’t use rewind, got across the line, went through all the end bits and got the achievement.
I realize I’m resurrecting an old thread, but since Rewards just started updating again, I thought it was worth polishing off a few more achievements in FM6. I was stuck at 94% on this one, without using rewind. What I did to get it was to change my free-play race options to include at least one AI, and in Assists, I disabled the rewind option, just to be doubly sure. One of those two fixed it–I suspect you have to have at least two cars in the race, based on other threads that unlocked this in multiplayer.
It’s usually a bit slow in every Forza. It needs more attempts sometimes.
And Rewards are like always, not working completely. Something works.
Maybe more than 1 lap will help.
It is easier to get high speed faster on the Daytona Oval and try using one of the faster cars on the Leaderboards.
Some cars will get up to 269 MPH.

I built a Porsche 906 for drag racing with the 6.2 V8 and tuned it for the mile (airfield test track), and it hits 270 (I think 271 was the fastest I saw) every time with my current setup. I actually need to lower the gearing (lower top speed) to get quicker times to be competitive in online drag racing (it turns low 18 seconds, I’m trying to break into the 17’s).
But that’s how I got that achievement. I didn’t even know it existed until I got the reward. But I definitely had rewind on at the time (I don’t use it in drag racing ofc). But I always test with the avatars set to maximum to get more money so maybe you do have to have AI in the race.
