just got the car in the garage. But when I want to take in the garage for drive wirte this : marketplace error failed to download !

I thought it was weird that they would be gifting a car that is part of dlc content. Seems you cannot get it without the dlc, and if you have the dlc you already had the car.

It’s a mess up on their part because they’ve gifted a car to everyone that a majority can’t use without needing to spend $10. So in this case, people like you need to [Mod Edit - Nope - D].
Just recently I was gifted this car (Jan 27) and I can’t use it dose anyone happen to know how to resolve this issue.I’ve tried reseting the game, exiting and 93rd entering the garage and accessing it from the switch cars menu in the the pause menu and still no.
It’s not a cloud error.
It’s a mess up on T10s part because the gift car is part of the All-stars DLC, which all players may not have and based on the number of these posts, many don’t have the pack. They cannot receive the car without owning the pack, which they can get for $10 on the store, but having to spend money to get a gift doesn’t really make it a gift does it?

How it not a mess up on there part. They should not be giving out dlc only cars which require you to have a certain dlc pack. I done have the pack but I can buy it on the microsoft store which I will do. I dont even know how to mod and never will be interested. So don’t jump to a conclusions like " people like you need to mod" it’s a simple error which can easily fixed
So on the evening of Jan 27th I got a message in the Gift sub-tab of the Social Tab in the menu screen. To my surprise it was a Lamborghini #63 Squadra Corse Huracán LP620-2 Super Trofeo from the Turn 10 Community Team. So of course i download it from the Gift sub-tab & then go back into my garage & into “My Cars”. Scroll over to the car & to my surprise I get a “Marketplace Error” saying: “Failed to download required marketplace data. Please try again later.” A couple of hours later I try it again and get the same error message. Does anybody know how I can download this car that was graciously gifted to me???
No not a cloud error. It really is only for the people who own said DLC.
Why they gifted it to everyone is beyond me…
Wrong. OP never stated that he has or doesn’t have the all star pack. Marketplace download error, if anything and assuming he does have it, DOES sound like a cloud error. That or connection issues. Even then, they gifted it to everyone because people would complain if they didn’t, like people always like to do on these forums. “I didn’t have the all star pack when they gifted it I deserve now that I bought it blah blah blah” would be all over these forums.
No. Its the same error people get if they try to buy from auction house if they dont own dlc.

Anyways, came here to see what was up with a gift car I can’t use. What’s the point in letting my know I have a gift car but can’t use it because I don’t have the dlc? Idc if the dlc owners get special gifts, just don’t bother giving me a notification of a gift car that’s useless to me unless I spent more money. And at that , a car that’s already part of that pack. Just with a special livery.
Well I’m glad I’m not the only person who came upon this particular problem
So, in short. The gift car is useless without the DLC and there’s no way to download said DLC as it isn’t available anymore or was an exclusive?

Unfortunately yes.
I have the DLC as a ultimate owner, but really hate they did this. It’s not fair to the people who don’t have the DLC, to send them a car they can’t access.

I was gifted a Lamborghini #63 Squadra Corse Huracán LP620-2 Super Trofeo and mine can be taken outside to play in Aussie.
My problem tho’ is that the car in my Garage has the normal #63 livery and when it is outside it is the #16 Change Racing GT3 livery, a very nice Forza XBOX livery too.
Now when this usually happens I add a flat air filter and hey presto the correct livery appears in the Garage, this time I only have restrictor plate, tyres/wheels, and drive train to alter. Anyone have an idea how to show it off in its splendour while it is in the Garage?
