Game won't start on Steam

Same here:

Tried disabling firewall(s), antivirus, reinstalling the game. Still stuck on the infinite loading screen.
This is absolutely unacceptable. Will check again over the night and tomorrow , otherwise I will refund and play through gamepass.

I agree with you
" This is absolutely unacceptable "
They don’t even seem to bother

I can only UNINSTALL or MODIFY
Modify is greyed out

I have 5 SSD
I do not own FH 5

Tried already, no go

Thanks for your help
I’ll try to uninstall / reinstall ( again ) but I doubt it will work

Tried moving to another ssd (through steam) also no changes.

So, reinstalled it again, still no luck

Found my solution on steam:

  1. Go to the search bar next to the Windows button at the bottom left and type in: lusrmgr.msc
  2. Go to the “Users”-folder
  3. Right click on “Administrator” and choose “Properties”
  4. In the “General”-tab, untick the option “Account is disabled”
  5. Click “Apply” and then click “OK”
  6. Right click on ""DefaultAccount and choose “Properties”
  7. In the “General”-tab, untick the option “Account is disabled”
  8. Click “Apply” and then click “OK”
  9. Go to “File” and click “Exit” (or just close the window)
  10. Restart the computer
  11. If everything worked correctly you should now be able to log in to the “Administrator” account. It might be the default option, or it might turn up in the right hand corner when you’re prompted to enter the password for your own account. What it looks like might vary, but hopefully it’s available as an option somewhere for you. Once you login with the “Administrator” account you’ll go through some setup options for Windows 10, such as whether to share data and such. Choose your preferences and wait for the process to complete.
  12. Now, run Steam and log in to your regular Steam account. The game will have to compile shaders etc, but eventually (give it a minute or two!) it presents you with the choice to login to your Microsoft/XBOX-account and load up the game! As it is a separate window, and you likely are running the game in fullscreen mode, you might have to tab out of the game window and put in your user name and password before going back into the game. I ran the game in windowed mode and didn’t have that issue, it popped up over the game window.

I really, really hope it works for you, and if it does: please share the information. And if you need a video guide for the process of at least activating these accounts you can go to Youtube and search for: “The secret Windows Super Admin account”, it should be made by a user named “ThioJoe”.

Refund the Steam version
Purchased from the Microsoft Store
So far, everything is fine

there is already a thread about the problems with the premium addon bundle

looks like its better to puchase the premium version instead of gamepass + bundle or deluxe + bundle

Motorsport is NOT WORKING on STEAM DECK. This is OUTRAGEOUS.

I tried both the Steam and Microsoft Store versions and both are crashing for me as well. Already got my Steam refund request, just waiting on Microsoft. I was pretty excited to play this game, but for now, I’ll wait until I see some patches/bug fixes to give it another go.

I have a ryzen 7 with a 2070 super. gamepass + bundle and i crash right after splash screen every time.

Same problem here.
premium edition through steam, and it didn’t start.

drivers where updated yesterday, I’ve reinstalled 3 times gaming services and xbox app, tried creating an alternate admin account on windows, and nothing.

well, below more information with antecedents and unsuccessful tries.

mi pc is an asus laptop, with ryzen 5900hx and amd radeon 6800m.
Two ssds, with three partitions. First disk with One partition for system, and other for programs and stuff.
On the second disk one big partition (2tb) that handles data and games. Forza is on that.
The windows partition just have 30Gb of free space.
Âżwhere forza stores the shaders? can be something with space for store the compiled shaders?
The data disk (where forza is stored) have more than 300gb free.

well, more information.

Until yesterday, when I launched the game through steam, each time the game is started, it launched the gamingrepair.program saying that was a installing script.
It take 2 minutes, appear two fast command prompts and after that appear the forza window that stay here 5 seconds and cloces to return to steam.

but today, when you launch the game it just show the forza window, and cloce it to return to the steam window.

Yesterday when that process ends, if you check the event viewer, you can find a error entry about the repair program.
but with the today behavior after forza’s windows cloces, on the event viewer didn’t appear nothing about that error.

Its really weird. If someone found something. please tell us.

Sorry for the long text.

I too, am having this exact same issue, and have also tried these same things. I also bought the premium bundle on Steam, and am stuck with an infinite spinner on loading; never prompted to sign in or anything.

Additional things I have tried, but have also failed:

  • Moved game to a different SSD
  • Created a separate admin account to launch from

System:
CPU - AMD 7950X
GPU - AMD 7900XTX
RAM - 2x Corsair Vengence DDR5 32GB 6500MHz
Motherboard - Asus X670E-F
Windows 10

Yes, Windows 10, my drivers, and even my BIOS are up to date. Honestly, at a loss of what to do; I mean, I honestly care less about the early access and more about the stuff that comes with the premium bundle, as well as a functional game I can play.

Are you a forza developer lol. Steam deck must be supported as its quickly becoming the PC of choice for most gamers.

Same here, I’ve tried all tips and advice in forums but nothing works. My game will not load past this screen. $109.00 for a broken system… very disturbing the lack of customer support.

i have a AMD 5950X CPU with NVidia GeForce 3090 Founders Edition and i have no problems to start the game. I can’t imagine its AMD related.

Did you have installed the XBOX Game Services and did you keep it up to date via Microsoft Store?

Edit: More ideas:
Is it safe your game got internet signals? Do you have a sepate Antivirus Software or someting like this? Maybe problems with your firewall configuration (maybe PC Software, Maybe the router firewall?). Try to connect the PC via Lan Cable. (it’s a always online-game)

this are some thoughts of me who could have impact on your game.

Well, in my case problem solved… Doing the most classic method that you’ve to do when something of sh**isoft fails.

Format / restore your system.

And no, isn’t a jocke.

I used my last resort to play the game, use the restore option windows 11.

After the restore completes, I installed the xbox-app, the gaming services and after that launched my steam, and next launched forza… Surprice, it works like a charm.

I don’t have to download it again, or reinstall or reconfigure. Just… restore windows and forza launch.

Take in consideration that I din’t have to reinstall steam or forza, because they are on my secondary partition, but… Its ridiculous.

Just for this game, I have to waste my weeckend reconfiguring all of my setup. But well…

Its anoying, but it worked.

I hope that the game won’t breack itself when all of my stuff will be reinstalled again :frowning:

Thankjs guys.
