Forza 7 seemed to be moving away from having options to play how you wanted, what with homologation and the hoop jumping for locked cars.
I hope this is a sincere attempt at opening up options and not just a way to introduce even more hoops to jump through.
You will be happy to know that as of the 10/07/2018 or shortly after this date there will be a update to Forza Motorsport 7 unlocking all most all the cars in the game Forza Edition cars and a couple of others will be the only locked cars.
So happy Grinding for all the credits this will take enjoy the benefits of 9 months of griping about locked content the squeaky wheels have a win.
Very good points there. The past does seem to suggest that while they shout “freedom” from the rooftops, the game will just about -insist- that we do EVERYTHING. They’re almost marketing it as an RPG with buying houses and such, but I’m sure we will all eventually own every available house and business, just to shut it up. They could definitely make that sort of thing into progression, and even have us play separate playthroughs with different houses and businesses perhaps with different perks, cars, paint jobs, etc. But they won’t because freedom just means collecting everything in any random order.
I’m fine with features like this as long as they aren’t cringey. Games like the Crew and NFS make my physically shrivel into a prune with cringe with bad dialogue, awful puns just… just no… Forza Horizon 3 bordered on that a little too much for my liking.
Horizon 1 nailed it imo. Perfect balance. Odd few cutscenes but nothing crazy or overbearing. Cliché and goofy characters and dialogue but nothing cringey. Just enough story to keep you interested. Best progression out of the 3 so far. I hope it’s more toned down and less “in your face” and obtrusive like FH1.
Well we’re going from boss and everyone being just slightly too excited to know us, to superstar. I’m not sure how they draw the lines in these things, but hopefully some sense of progression has us ride through the ranks, even if that is based on … Ewwwww … Fans. Either way, just as long as I can still have them call me Twinkle Toes, it’s okay.

If the past 3 Horizon games followed the same or similar concept of rising up the ranks, then we’d likely have a growing number of people lamenting of lack of change/innovation. More new players are getting on board Horizon, while some people who’ve played the past 3 Horizons would want to play the game in a different perspective.
Nothing wrong with trying something new. I hope this game appeals to you just as it appeals to me and others. Sure, when the first Horizon released, I enjoyed playing as the new guy working my way up. With the next 2 games, while I do miss the story, I enjoyed the additional freedom that the games gave you. So it’s more of trying to have an open mind and going with the flow, but of course, not everyone can do that, which is fair.
Amidst all the division, I’m looking forward to feeling like a businessperson and progressing via something other than racing
I think I am the odd one out here, but I am looking forward to the Jobs!
we all know they are going to be Fun, from “Mad Cab” Missions, to being a Stunt Man (which might explain THE James Bond DB5 in the FM7 files… note, Playground, if we do get to make a Bond Movie in the Game, please use Brosnan rather than Craig! thanks!) to a Car Magazine Show (Possibly either “Top Gear” or “the Grand Tour” ) so they wont be boring.
I think the Main reason I am looking forward to the Jobs Element is the Immersion Elements, I am never going to be able to Drive in Real Life, nor can I Work, I am officially blocked from Working by the UK Department for Works and Pensions by the “Unemployable without Intervention” Tag. I wont Give the Reasons why however, as there are a lot of Very Nasty Memes relating to them in Abundance on “the Interwebz”.
As a Result, Games like Horizon give Me a Chance to live an Idealised Fantasy Version of things, such as Car Driving (its why I use Cockpit Cam) and having a Job, that I am never going to be able to Do in Real Life. So for Me, the “jobs” are an Extra element of Immersion, and a way to Drag Me even Deeper into the Fantasy that Horizon Offers.
So, Bring them On I say, because I cannot wait to do them!

As long as those bonuses are not exclusive to streaming, or cosmetic items, I’m ok with this.
Personally, given how Playground talks about “levelling up” by Streaming the Game, I think the Goodies are most Probably just XP Levels and/or Wheelspins.
Hopefully it’s just XP, CR, Wheelspins and NOT CARS.

hello, I read several pages that there will be progress of the game to stream in mixer and I do not know if there will be exclusive content (cars/upgrades/anything) that are unlocked by stream only or all cars and everything can be bought with CR.
