Game freezing and not closing on PC

OK, I think this may be due to an overload of the graphics driver. What specs do you have?

3600XT & RX6650XT

What makes you think that? Could be Adrenaline/drivers but happened across more than one version and doesn’t seem to be an overload. I don’t run it harder than it can handle - I wish I could get it clearer/crisper.

I don’t know. I’ve experienced crashes like this before, rarely, but it’s happened. And it caused my Adrenaline setting to be reset; so I’m making a link between the graphics driver’s overclock management and the opening/closing of the game (I’m using an AMD RX6900 XT with the latest driver).

Depending on whether you’re using an OC via Adrenaline, given the specs of your graphics card in particular, I’d guess that’s the root of the problem.

ETA - the game isn’t exactly the most polished product, so, why not assume it’s that? Especially when it’s the only one with the problem.

I completely understand, the combination of a game that is sometimes poorly optimised and limiting hardware (8GB of VRAM being the low limit for a game like this, let’s be clear about that too).

So much the better if you don’t run into other problems with other games, which I imagine can be just as performance-hungry,

Yes 8GB really isn’t enough, but I’m not pushing things, I just accept lower settings, which is why I think it is unlikely this that’s the cause. Either way, it’s been closing down without the same issue and hopefully will continue to behave.

Are you using Xbox app version? I just noticed it’s now closing, but in the Xbox app still says ‘running’.

If you’re using the Xbox app could you please check if yours is doing this?

Initially, yes, now I play mainly via Steam.

However, T10Manteo is right: the easiest way is to contact support, with the error report; they’ll be able to tell you more definitively what’s causing your problem.
