My game now freezes almost every time I enter a home after I purchased Edinburgh Castle. It didn’t do it before the purchase, but now it consistently freezes. Is anyone else experiencing this? I’m on PC if that makes a difference. This is making the game completely unplayable now, I’m regretting even purchasing the castle because before that, I had no problems/issues whatsoever.
Now I can’t even load in the game. I can benchmark all day, but as soon as I try to go in the regular game and get out that stupid castle…the game freezes. Very upsetting
Got the same issue. I can only load into the game offline at Edinburgh Castle. PC and console.
I now have the same problem! 
EDIT: Now i replaced the savegame with my savegame backup and it´s working again, no freezes. The bad, i miss some cars that i bought, but i can play.
That´s the worst bug i have ever seen, or maybe it´s the official end of the game > buy edinburgh castle and game is totally finish!
I have a backup of my savegame, but people without a backup are really badly off, PLEASE FIX THIS !!!

Meanwhile i testet it with my old savegame (WITH edinburgh castle)…
When you set the settings to ULTRA, not EXTREM (as i had), it works!
Try lower Settings!
…but that problem is the same as in “Draw distance” Threat.
Now i´m a little bit happy, i can play with edinburgh castle bought.
But nevertheless it´s a big prolem.
Now i know what setting let game freeze in edinburgh castle …“Spiegelungsqualität”, in english maybe “mirror quality”, set it only to “ultra”, NOT “EXTREM” !!!
…all other works in “extrem”. 
Same here, think it’s worse during winter season, I used to crash half the time when I teleported to the festival as well, now I can’t get into the game when it loads into the castle, I can only see my car withe castle on the background with a frozen image… gonna try to lower settings.
Edit: Changing mirror quality from Extreme to Ultra seemed to fix it, at least I’ve done multiple fast travels and started the game without any issues a bunch of times.

…and here the “wgs” folder is the savegame.
Thank you very much! I made the backup. There are some threads of people that lost the whole progress of the game (something related comparing the local save with cloud save). If that happens to me I would stop playing and asking for a refund. Nice to have a backup now, thanks!
Game runs good, but after update today it´s still freezing at edinburgh castle if “mirror quality” is set to “extreme”.
