There was rumoured everything! I’m a bit spewin about no more monthly DLC but on the plus side I would hope that all the cars that are in the game now and whatever they add in future plus all of the cars that will be in Horizon 2 will make it into FM6. Seem as every car has been rebuilt and scanned there should be no reason why any of them should be left out of any future Forza game to be released onto this console. But with T10 who knows what will happen lol
This will definitely not be the case. Although it would be nice, we know that the goal is to make money. I’m sure there will be a lot of additional launch cars over FM5 but similar to the model we have now, old cars will be added to DLC. But on the other hand, you can expect to see cars neither in FM5 or Horizon 2 introduced for FM6.
If you have not heard an interview with Dan about having less content in Forza 5, he said that they are future proofing the franchise but redoing everything with more accurate modeled cars and tracks. This means they will build upon Forza 5 and beyond with next-gen content. Who know how far into the future they are building to maybe it is just the Xbox One. Some people still don’t get this concept. No way in hell I would play a ported (most inaccurate POS) Nurburgring on Xbox One, it would be a disgrase.

Well it depends more on licensing. If they have it in Forza 5 with a forward going license, all is good. However if they have per game licenses on some vehicles which is likely, then they’ll have to renogiate those licenses for subsequent games. So just because it’s in Forza 5 or Horizon 2, doesn’t mean it’s as easy as just dropping the model into game. They need licenses to include those vehicles, without them, they can’t be included whether they’ve modelled them or not.
I think some changes could make a sensational Forza game. The garage of the player should be available so that friends can visit. The social part of the game does not exist! Visiting the garage of a friend I could have some idea of which car to buy for each championship. Must immediately remove the bug car can not get out of the grass, it is correct to slow but not allow out of grass is wrong. I think a saved game manual would also be very ultil, I lost $ 1.5M on a purchasing mistakes.
I’ve learned one thing for sure in my 8 years of Forza playing: No one will know about DLC or future game plans until there is an official announcement from Turn 10.
Speculating can be fun, but the bottom line is nobody knows except the guys in Redmond, Washington.
If I had to make a guess though, I would put down money that 99.9% of cars from Forza 5 will be in Forza 6, as will all of the current tracks. I have no idea what to expect from Horizon 2.
I also suspect that we haven’t seen the last DLC for Forza 5 by a long shot.
We know there will be a free car pack with the Q50 Eau Rouge in August but I haven’t seen an official announcement. Some people didn’t have to wait for an official reveal to know about Long Beach or the Nurburgring. To make it simple, in some cases, leaks happen.

Mostly good points (your 99.9% figure? I sure hope not); if memory serves, whenever a pack signaled the end of DLC in past games, T10 would say it, right there in the description of the pack or shortly thereafter. Haven’t heard anything like that yet.

They came straight out in the announcement and said it was the last DLC though.
We know that by “more DLC cars coming your way” they are at least referring to the Infiniti pack due in August. Until we have further information, that’s all the more DLC we can assume we’re getting.

I’m thinking a Porsche pack with Monza as an add on is likely. I’m not sure how much they would charge though? I can’t remember how much it was for FM4 either.
But there is still a lot of racing groups not catered for to whom licensing issues would be less likely. Ie, dtm ( especially likely as one racing bimmer needs competition) JDM and touring cars.
But with each racing group surely there would need to be more races in career mode to cater for them?
I’m excited for the franchise though with the release of the ring, the other FREE tracks and the steady improvements to drivatar and little tweaks here and there this game is looking less turd like and more complete as time ticks by.
The chances of ever getting a Porsche pack again are slim to none, according to anyone with insight into the deal with EA. Apparently the FM4 was almost fluke-level and a one-time thing. Don’t get me wrong, I would love it though.
As far as Monza goes, there have been rumors about both that and Pacific Raceways almost since FM5 came out, so there may be something to them if they aren’t just streamlining them for FM6.
More DTM and V8SC cars are a must, there are just too many awesome models in those series to excuse the lack of them - not to mention the Daytona Prototypes here in the US now that they race against the ALMS LMP cars in the Tudor series.
Would thoroughly enjoy seeing the RImac concept 1 as well as Teslas. All worthy and deserving. Lets not leave out the Escudo either.
Rumor just in. T10 has finished scanning the rings around saturn. We should be expecting a lunar pack sometime next month.

Too many crashers race the Saturn rings, and they’d have to implement sticky grass to stop the corner cutters.

If you go into a private lobby and filter options by car type and body family, (I believe those are the two options) you can see many families that are listed that have 0 cars available. 1980s + 1990s Grand Prix, Racing Trucks, 90’s Dragsters, American Stock Cars, etc…
You can also see 0 cars available for the body families of “Hybrid” and " 911." Since 911 is a Porsche type, and the new Porsche 918 is a hybrid, I have very high hopes that Porsche may make an appearance down the line.
If those categories are anything to go by, we still have lots of DLC coming for this game.

Let’s try to make things clear. First of all, a video appeared on Monzarace.tv (official Monza’s website). During the video some footage of FM4 was shown, and It was said that some techs from Texas (SGM’s headquarters are in Houston) were sent by Microsoft to scan the whole track and the environment nearby with laser-scanning equipment. The name “SmartGeoMetrics” also appeared on this said equipment. The video is no longer available however (here is the link anyway Videogame of Monza - A laser-scanner on the Monza track ).
The same thing was posted on their Facebook page the day after (7th June)

If more tracks are to come, the trend so far has been for them to come around the time of real-life events at those tracks. So Monza would presumably be late August - early September to coincide with the F1 GP there. WEC is at COTA late September, which is probably a better bet than the F1 in November. If we get Suzuka, and we can only hope, that’d be late September - early October, and both F1 and WEC visit Interlagos in November, but that’s really an outside bet. Whether there will be any overlap between FM5 DLC and Horizon 2’s release though IDK, so they might be earlier if they happen at all.
