Full customization

Hey, do you guys think they should include a full customization feature to the game? I’d think it would be cool to be able to add more body styles/kits to the cars, to truly make them unique. Not just basic things like, paint and rims, and a couple bumpers. I feel like there should be a full tuning feature too, like being able to stance cars for street racer fans, and lift cars for off-road fan, stuff like that.

Don’t know what you mean exactly by “full customization”. If you mean some sort of 3D CAD program to make our own bodykits, I’d say dream away.

There WILL be tuning this time around though, so you MIGHT be able to “stance” your car some.

Do you mean that you could upload your own body kits or something like that? You need to be more specific. Near as I can tell the tuning will be the same as in FM5.

Don’t agree with the “full customization” though. Anyone can take a car to a garage and have it “pimped” to their dream specs, but it hardly ever looks good. Decal and livery allows for amazing customization. I’d rather spend some time adding decals than learning how to render in 3D just so I can make my car the tiniest bit more unique.

I think he means more like NFS Underground 2 in terms of ‘‘Full Customization’’

That’s probably what he meant, and sadly, I don’t think we’ll get that level of customization in a Forza title any time soon. Not that I’m against it, tho…

I wouldn’t mind something like that, as long as all the customization options are real-world and licensed, not just cartoony random add-ons with stupid names. But I’d expect real options from a Forza game. I doubt it’ll happen though… mentally preparing myself for the same variety of body kit and rims…

To be honest on some cars on the forza games that are already out I’m surprised how many body kit options they have but then some cars there are hardly any or none, maybe there generally arn’t many made for that particular car in the real world so forza would have to create there own and that’s just added work.

I would like a few little tweaks and maybe some more modding stuff added but there’s also only a curtain distance you can go with modding a car before you realise it’s just a car and if you go any further it will turn into a f***ing transformer and like someone said decals are great and make the car your own and unique, engine mods they have on lock and there’s no complaints in that department but as for looks I think they could do a bit more but again they pretty much have all the good things on there already, yer you could go down the route of being able to change everything down to window wipers and mirrors but that’s over the top I think, but then again would them pointless options end up being fun/a change when you have brought every car and modded it

I reckon they should let us de badge the cars because I do like that look but there’s probably a reason they don’t let you and I’m sure someone will pop up the a reply soon saying why

At the end of the day the game is going to be EPIC so I don’t really give two s**ts because I know forza will make me smile

Since the cars can only appear in the game with permission from the manufacturer, they probably (definitely) reach an agreement that the badges must remain visibly on the cars. Although there are some, albeit very few, body kit options/front bumpers that do remove the front badge; the one that jumps to mind is a couple of the Subaru options.

As for the body kits, there aren’t a lot of aftermarket body kits for companies like Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren since they’re already fully kitted to be high performance race cars that happen to be street legal. The aftermarket for these cars seems to be mainly over-fender arches, front lip diffusers, rear diffusers, side sills, things like that. I’d love it if those kinds of options were in the game but I doubt they will be.

Although, since it seems like Forza has their personally-branded Race Wing and Front Bumper for every single car (I don’t know for sure, I haven’t looked at the ‘aero’ mods for every single car) it would be fantastic if they even had a generic “Forza” branded over-fender/bolt-on arch option. It would be a great way to somehow include wide body with minimal effort while adding a great bit of customization that loads of fans have wanted, not to mention that it would be an additional custom option for the aforementioned manufacturers that don’t have much in the way of aftermarket body kits.

NFS Carbon had the “Autosculpt” system. Those who have played it know about it, but basically, you pick a body part (Bumper, fenders, scoops, air dams, etc.) and then you sculpt it to make it wider, smaller, shorter, longer, etc. It’s basically taking a pre-existing body part and tweaking it. I thought that system was awesome and I’m really disappointed to see that the NFS series dropped that approach.

NFS Carbon’s Autosculpt System

I highly doubt Horizon 2 is bringing anything “revolutionary” to the customization scene. I think painting brake calipers type of adjustments is the most we’ll see…if that. Given that they are using T10’s game engine, I hope the time not invested into developing that has gone to more useful things…and not just making the ground seem wet after just 30 seconds of rain.

I doubt T10 will ever expand on body customization like 2003-2008 NFS games.

I’d definitely like to see more customization options in FH2. Things that I wish FH1 had were definitely the ability to paint “stock” rims, de-badge, put stickers on windows, custom mudflaps (subarus!) and even being able to blackout taillights or tint vinyls on taillights. Now that FH2 will have the STI Hatch, I want to be able to add “overlays” on the tail lights. Even being able to “plasti dip” emblems would be cool.

[Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]

Keep in mind, the bulk of FH2 is not being developed by T10. Playground Games is the developer on this one.

I’d rather have more cars than be able to do body modifications, which in my opinion is not entirely necessary.

I think the creators should put the veilslide body kit in a dlc or something because wouldnt that be cool!.

Aye. Forza bodykits don’t get updated/changed much, game to game, and I’ve never seen them as DLC (unless you count Horizon Rally), unfortunately.

It’s quite rare that consumers make requests for DLC prior to the release of the actual game. Rare indeed.

Maybe they should put it in the base game instead?

I also hope they put in a veilside kit especially for the RX7.

Although i do wish they had a c-west kit for the skyline R34 GTR
