Fuel, Stops and Unbeatable

Okay then, i have a couple of questions i’d like answered by someone that actually knows for fact (you reading this Turn10), and not someone that has come up with their own conclusions (no disrespect but I’ve read enough thoughts and have enough of them myself).

  1. Fuel usage - are in-game cars set up with the same size of fuel tank or are they comparable to their real life model? Would help greatly to know this.

  2. Pit-stops - what a joke this aspect of the game is to be honest! Anyway, my question…is there at least a way to specify the amount of fuel you put in during a stop?
And seriously Turn10…pit-stops let this game down terribly!

  3. Unbeatable - why does it seem that the opposition has such an unrealistic advantage on what feels like most of the tracks.

I’m sure these questions have been asked many times but i would appreciate a knowledgeable reply or 6, or at least a link directing me to a relevant post.

Much thanks in advance.

ps: if it’s best turning these features off then kind of defeats the purpose of having them in the first place.

  1. I very much doubt it. I can’t answer for sure on this one but if they were modelled to fuel capacity and consumption on real world vehicles I would be very very surprised. Especially with the complexity upgrading car parts would bring to that equation.

  2. It’s just a simple reset of a bar, no way to adjust how much fuel goes into a car. To add to that I generally run lap after lap to the tenth, fuel consumption does not lower weight nor do I see an effect on lap times until the tyres are almost red on the UI.

If you want a game that takes 1 and 2 into account to some degree, GT Sport and Project Cars 2 are good shouts.

  1. Unbeatable drivatars have more horsepower than you, they can even break homologation restrictions. They have been known in some cases to be faster around the track than world record times.

As i feared it seems. think i’ll be checking PC2 out then. Appreciated and shame Turn10 missed the importance of these simple details.
