Freeplay - Just Experimental Drag??

Because I’m having issues with the Drivers Cup Challenge, I’m “surfing” the game to keep me interested.
I went onto the freeplay area (on my XBox) and the only choice I seem to have is experimental drag in an open wheeler.
I would have thought there would be more race choices here?

Can anyone advise on this?

I don’t know if you need to complete the drivers cup up to some point to do this, but click race setup then change game type.
