just sad that a lot of work and time is running in that - i would like to see the exising cars being fixed - we have so manny cars with useles mirrors and wrong camera positions from onboard … as you say - we have 700 cars - make them work instead of adding new content all the time
Hilarious, all the whining about free content. This is going to be a fun DLC and I am going to enjoy the hell out of it.
I notice the release post mentions “there are five decade-specific suits from the 1950s all the way up to the 2000s.” This is a bit odd since there were no Hot Wheels in the 1950s. Also there is no suit for the 1960s. Looks like a simple mistake, and the 1950s suit is actually the 1960s suit.
I’m a little conflicted on this, but as a MASSIVE Hot Wheels fan, I’ll take it, especially considering that I’ve pretty much given up on any new notable cars coming to FM7 and you know what? It’s not so bad. We already have many, and even though many of the ones I’d hoped for – 488 GTE, M8 GTE, to name a couple – we’re either not going to see or will be outdated by the time we do see them, we have plenty of cars to muck around with for now. It’s too bad that support for FM7 in the car department has ended on a somewhat comical note such as this, but it’s not the end of the world and I’m sure I’ll have a bit of fun with the licensed cars in the pack. And the Bone Shaker.
EDIT: actually, I’ve not lost all hope; if I remember correctly, the announcement near the end of the original run of car packs said that there’d be two new car packs for CAR PASS HOLDERS ONLY. Since the HW pack is free to all FM players, there may be something else in the pipeline yet.
I’m with the majority here, what on earth do these HW cars have to do with this new Motorsport vision that’s been highlighted recently from T10??? Now I get it, it’s free content we should be happy ok cool. But the bone Shaker and the HW mustang could have easily been carried over from FM6 if they really wanted to and called it done with no other HW additions. Instead they throw these once again oddball cars into a pack that just does not fit this game what so ever especially being once again they have this new vision of making this game more Motorsport worthy… We have yet to get a single new prototype from 2015-now, only 2 new GT cars out of the dozens that have been out over the past several years, still could use more iconic road cars like an 89 taurus SHO, a few missing old school muscle cars, maybe build upon the new wave of hybrid/ electric and throw us the Nio Ep9 or rimac one, even things like the 2017 nismo GTR or 2018 zr1 would be welcomed. Point is every month that keeps going by without cars that we have been asking for or are worthy to be in this game is building up a bigger let down. The monthly updates are nice, yes, I’m not going to be fully unappreciative but we have not received a real car pack since July and they are just being silent when it comes to more content. Don’t even get me started on this game needing tracks, I’d rather them stop dlc cars free or not and give us at least 2 nice tracks. I just don’t understand their visions and decisions when it comes to dlc and why they continue to ignore what we and this game really needs. I’m trying to remain patient since they will continue to support this game another year plus but they really need to bring in real content, give us something T10.
I’ll take it!
Jesus, its a free car pack above and beyond the car packs that you paid for and were promised with the car pass. They didnt have to give you anything. What’s the worst that you can do? Not drive them? There’s no need to have back and forth flame wars on the forums over the legitamacy of a car pack or who is the “real car guy” in the crowd or whatever. I’d focus more on core game mechanics that need to be fixed like physics, FFB, and race regulations.

Just look at what I´ve written before. Most of us don´t complain about the car pack itself: We complain about the ignoring the community in terms of content and them wasting ressources on stuff literally nobody asked for! Let me give you an example: Since release of the game people want more tracks since we barely got any new one. Yet the only thing we have is a brief statement that there might be some new tracks in the future, but they are not working on that. In terms of cars they are just completely ignoring the community, the last actual car pack we´ve gotten was back in July. After that, nobody said “We know you still get another car pack in the car pass, it´s going to come in the next 2-3 months”. They just don´t talk to us when it comes to content of the future, that is one of the main problems I see!
Why should I even bother listing down cars I want when I clearly know that they are just going to ignore it?
You know: I´ve just gone through the entire Car Wishlist thread for FM7: Out of all the around 1700 people, only 3 asked for HW cars. Which means that around 1697 people asked for different cars. That is 0.1% of the entire playerbase that uses the forum, which should be T10s first choice when they are looking for community interaction! This is a perfect proof to me that T10 simply does not care about what community wants, there is no reason for Hot Wheels to be in the game!
That’s only because I’m not gonna waste my time in a wishlist thread.
My main point was that car packs now don’t mean a thing. The more important issues are the core game mechanics that should be fixed. We have more than enough cars in this game and this pack is a free bonus anyway, mostly cars that have already been released before. Someone somewhere must’ve asked that they be available in FM7 as well as FH4.
I would rather have an update and ETA on all the things that have been promised on these dev streams.

Not sure why folks are conflating the wishlist and this free car pack. This is free content and perhaps Turn 10 wanted to make the November patch a little bit more special than it just being a patch, which is fine. It’s basically a bonus. Car Pass owners still have one more free pack, that’s where the wishlist comes in. (assumingly)
As for the 700+ cars, well…, let’s point out some facts. A good amount of these cars are glitched visually as my keen eye has seen, in Forzavista and in racing. I do my best to point them out in the visual glitch thread, which sadly has been ongoing for over a year:
https://forums.forza.net/turn10_postst106180p8_-ANSWERED--Report-visual-graphical-glitches-here.aspx
The fact that some of the same visual glitches have now transferred to FH4 sure stains the polish of that game. Having a livery on the car actually adds load time in the garage. Imagine that.
Even with the power of the Xbox One X, the garage is still janky.
So while it’s great to advertise 700+ cars, perhaps they should hire some good QC folks, because the current team (outsourced or not) is terrible. Assign one employee or more, to go over every single car in the game, that’s what they get paid for right? If all the tracks and ribbons were “gone over” for the update that added racing guidelines, then surely the main focus of Forza titles, cars, could as well.
“50th Anniversary of Hotwheels” there…right there is the reason for this car pack…because they have a partnership with Hotwheels…and it’s the 50th anniversary of Hotwheels. Sooooooooooooooooooooo…yeah.
If only that explanation was good enough for the good people of this community… but I have a feeling it’s not.
I don’t think the wishlist has anything to do with this car pack for the reason stated in the quote.
Look at my post on the car wish list thread (page 67). It’s all super cars and race cars, not one single SUV or truck. That’s what I expect from Forza.
Does this also mean that The Hot Wheels expansion for FH3 is free also
Ps that all
Have a good day
Yay, free content that bring nothing to the game. I won’t drive these, I’ll just get wrecked by unghosted backmarkers driving them.
They may be free but are still rubbish that doesn’t belong in a Forza Motorsport game. The boundaries between FM and Horizon are getting blurry.
Absolutely.
I would have preferred ONE free car…like a '03 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V, Alfa Romeo 147 GTA 3.2 V6, De Tomaso Pantera, Ford GT90 Concept, Isdera Commendatore 112i (good old times of NFS2), or any car that people might have wanted from the official Wishlist. Certainly not this pack full of, in my opinion, nonsense. We already have enough clown and gingerbread man suits. What a waste of 3d modeling.
Again. This is my opinion and there’s no reason why a white knight should have anything to say about it…
You got your toys? Good for you. Let me express my own thought on what they added.
If Turn 10 want the FM series to represent real motorsport, there’s stuff that has to go.
You want to keep offroad vehicles? Then add offroad tracks.
You want to keep all of the suv’s? Then add a mode where you can race only those. Not let a stupid troll in his heavy vehicle ruin a S class race.
I paid for all of that content, with the ultimate edition, so I would like to make the most out of it and finally use those vehicles where they’re supposed to. Is it too much to ask?
And for crying out loud, bring the race regulation system, ghosted backmarkers and fixes for the numerous bugs this title still has.
Well, if the ‘white knight’ didn’t make an appearance, the devs might get the feeling no one likes what was provided, which apparently isn’t the case.
Most don’t, that’s for sure. Also, I really doubt devs read the forums.
