Not too bad I think
so we start Monday and today we finish the S challenge. For me personally it was an interesting experience, a lot of work with car settings and learning how to brake. I start each challenge without abs and I try to improve, but at the end I see how much I still lack.
The R class will be less demanding (I think), but the cars do not require a large LVL, most cars need a downgrade from the P to R class. This means that you can spend more time simply training and not looking at the car driving itself on this track. There is no jump here like in FH5 between S1 and S2. R cars are more improved in terms of handling, not necessarily speed, which makes driving them more enjoyable. I think after this challenge we will go back to the low classes. Nevertheless, I encourage everyone to join R class.
There are still about 8 hours of the challenge left in S - I wanted to draw attention to the progress @gAdam6981 made yesterday - congratulations
preliminary results below
Since I may be unavailable later, I decided to do the Silverstone class S results now. Congratulations to everyone on great times - itās another experience for us that will make us go faster and faster.
Since not everyone wanted to check the R class / I decided to do two classes on the same track, of course I invite you to check both classes.
going in order, the next class is R (I think it is very cool and does not require preparing extra cars)
and class B, for which we already have several cars.
Both classes on the same Watkins Glen track (full track)
cars for both - ANY
of course, until the end of 7 days.
Good luck everyone
TaniDrift - Yes not too bad, better than me but Iām close behind at S - 4226, too bad they donāt make a leaderboard for this, be nice to see where everyone is at. I spend 1/2 my time finding a good D car and tune., always nice to have some advantage in the feature multiplayer open spec. If I qualified good I ran up front for a podium, sometimes I would not qualify or do a practice lap to be at the back of the grid, one does not seem to go down in points if u cant lose too many spots LOL, but u have better chance of advancing your start position, for points toward your skill lvl.
I improved my time, but not my position so no problem. The two hair pin turns was my main challenge, and if I did do 2 good ones which was low %, I would screw up one of the many other turns beyond. LOL. Did anyone experience a loud bang if you overshot the curve but still have the lap remain clean? I thought for sure the car should have suffered some serious damage.
The big bang reminds me of Silverstone
@ChevyChase13 Iād love to try the GT1. Other than BMW, the Porche GT cars are my favorite to drive. I just need a good tune.
In general, while having fun in the FH5 rivals forum, people usually shared tunes during the events. The events were about the driver, and tunes shared maybe with some knowledge to those of us who donāt know how to do much past the standard upgrading.
For people like me can weā¦
- Have the tune share for each car in the top 5 spots
2⦠For each event maybe someone can give us a paragraph of instruction on the tuning (camber, gears, whateverā¦) that has particular relevance for the track.
Would everyone agree/enjoy?
@Lando ānice drivingā w the Vulcan, I triedā¦I cannot! ā¦( maybe Iāll have to buy one!)
āYou do not have enough Car pointsā
Look for tunes from Chevy, Lando & Edi
Hi @specificity70.
With great pleasure! When we were doing challenges for Fh5, our main task was to set up the car ourselves. Thatās why we didnāt talk about cars here, only in the xbox messenger (this forum was dead only for results and a new challenge) we changed these rules in FM8 because at the beginning no one knew how to set the cars to drive well, thatās why we made āuse the tune you likeā. I think thatās why people here are not used to sharing information about tunes (everyone did their own thing). I will be happy to change it and we can discuss it. There are people who use other tuners, maybe they can also advise. I can help you set it up yourself if you want (after a while, there is nothing as satisfying as having your own car). My GT1 tune was available for the S class all last week. At this point, I can write a list of the cars I have and I will try to tune them. Maybe it turns out that you have a car and we can work on it together
@specificity70
Iāll make a list of cars in both classes that I have in my garage and I can start preparing. Maybe you have one of these cars and we will do it (try to do it) together. Class R: Mclaren F1 GT, Porsche #92 911RSR 2017, Chevrolet #55 Level5 Motorsport 2010, Ferrari Fxx K 2014, Ferrari F40 Competizione 1989, Aston AMR Vulcan 2017, Porsche GT1 1997, (Apollo but Iām not sure about its R class) Ferrari F50 1995, Lola #6 1969, Aston Martin Vantage 2015, Nissan #11 Tomica Skyline 1984. / Class B: Acurra Integra, Honda Civic 97, Honda S2000 2009, MB 190, Ford Sierra, Chevrolet corvette Z06 2002, Toyota Celica 2003, Mazda MX5 Miata 1994. All cars in both classes are of a sufficient level for me to prepare them. A matter of order. You can tell me which cars we overlap and weāll start with them
As for other tunes, I would definitely check out the tunes of @Landorgini and @EdwardPindol (if they have them available), they both always prepare cars for a special challenge. @Raceboy77 is 100% great tunner. Personally, I try to follow them and for me they are the best, Apart from that, he is a great person and he helped me a lot in learning how to tune cars.
I saw a challenge board for a moment today. Most of them have already started to set great times (usually they are on the weekend) which shows how hard everyone is testing many cars. I know them all and I know that everyone likes the feeling of ālooking for and testing a carā the most. In the end, most will choose one or two cars at most, but the moment when you do the tests is great.
Hello there! Im pretty new here and added a few players to my friendslist for some battles in Rivals! How does the challenge work here? Just set a Time in B Class on Watkins Glen. Do I have to post a picture here or how does it work? Thanks in advance and have fun!
Hello, nice of you to join. I sent you the same message on xbox. Now that I have added you to my friends list, I will see your times on the board in each challenge.
Thank you very much! You are right, having a car that you set up yourself sounds rewarding.
This would be my favorite of the cars you have listed. If you are a fan of the car as well, that would be the one Iād like to work on. Maybe I can set the base modifications, share the tune, then you can tell me why itās so crappy,
Off topic, of sortsā¦
How many of you watched the Gran Turismo movie? (you can just like this post to say you did)
Any thoughts? I couldnāt believe it was a true story!
This car is not easy to set up. I think you need to drive this car a lot to see what settings will be better for it and when you get better results. Today I should finally be in Forza, maybe you will be able to add your tune. You can write when you do it. Iām waiting for the Gran Turismo movie when it appears on VOD streaming. Have you tried the Porsche GT1? It may be a popular car, but it is simple to build and drive, so you can only focus on improving your result.
From today we are in
