While I don’t doubt Japan isn’t possibly on the cards for real this time, I wouldn’t base it on this article myself. They mention going back to Washington, which means this was a group of developers who work for Turn 10, not Playground Games.
Although Turn 10 shares its several of its car-related assets with Playground Games, I doubt they’d share references photos if all the Turn 10 team did was visit Hakone. Playground Games have mentioned in the past that they make extensive and long trips out to several locations across the regions they want to recreate, and hopefully, a Horizon game in Japan would have more to its map than just a Hakone pastiche.
I have the same theory about Torben potentially being the new creative director. I even looked at the available live streams and it seemed like his title changed in the course of a couple of months from Senior Game Designer or just Game Designer to Design Director. Probably means nothing and as far as ive digged in, it’s likely just PG’s way of making sure he stays on the team by giving him a promotion and a new title..But he’s likely doing the same job.
To get even weirder I also took some pics from the livestreams with the dates on it. Last appearance spotted on May 22 , 2023. Also this is very old info, so things might’ve changed.
With the recent console,accessories and game price increases i think it’s safe to say Horizon 6 will probably see a price hike too. I believe the quote was “this holiday”. But im still wondering does that mean this summer or literally the holiday season?
For reference: Horizon 4’s base game was worth 69.99 , Horizon 5 reduced it to 59.99. Then about 2 years ago Xbox announced price increase for their first party games, and so Forza Motorsport’s base game released at 69.99, And now we should be expecting to see a 79.99 price tag.
It’s almost as if Xbox just raised the stakes even higher. Premium edition would be worth 119.99. Wow, if that doesn’t make you reconsider buying premium and just getting gamepass instead..
I think forza has something big planned for June. Likely FH6 announcement. Ive read in FM23 Discussion, that Update 20 is suposed to last for 7 weeks. Wich means they are making room for more focus on the horizon side of things. This could mean FH6 announcement or even something like a new DLC or something (wich would be very underwhelming).

It could also mean that they’re experimenting with a longer spanning update cycle, so that they can focus more of their attention into shipping FH6. Usually game polish is one of the last things developers do before launching their game. And having listened to some of the livestreams Turn10 did on twitch, i understand that Turn10 is very much involved in that process.
I dont have any idea if its from the insiders program, i mean OP is in that program so im not sure.
Now that you say it im a bit concerned that im spreading information that isnt supposed to be public yet.
Though many people commented as if it was public info. So i guess it may has been stated in an article or blog post.
Exactly also my prediction back in November also came true . Proving my point even more , I had plenty of people tell me “oh you wishing too hard Fujimi kaido would never return or drifting will never be part of Motorsport it’s not a real sport “ then we got drift meet ups so I’m 95% we are correct . We just have 1 month to go
And the Second screenshot is a search result of FH6 Japan and it says that Germany, China and Egypt are other potential location candidates for a FH6 setting
This may sound a lot like a conspiracy but i think there’s something going on. Recently i watched digital foundry’s review of Horizon 5 on playstation and at the end of their video, the presenter says " I hope we hear more of this franchise soon ". So i’m thinking to myself. Do they know something?
And then just yesterday i was watching HokiHoshi’s stream and he was talking about how many new games have arrived this year and also continued with “I don’t know if Horizon 6 is getting announced, so i’ll be just as excited as you guys for the whole thing” .
Then he says this:
If HokiHoshi knows something, i think Digital Foundry probably knows something too. And that statement they made at the end of their FH5 review, i think it was a hint. It may not necessarily be about Horizon 6 but it could be something else Horizon related. And it sounds like it’s going to big. If it’s not FH6 then maybe FH1-FH2 remaster coming?
Last year playground games opened up a third studio location, so maybe this news has something to do with that. A new forza game maybe? And if Media and influencers are being told about it, they’re most definitely getting prepared for whatever happens on the Xbox Showcase next month.
It has to be FH6 cause we’re definitely due of one and since GTA6 and Fable Reboot has both been delayed for a 2026 release and since FH5 is officially done with updates unless if they’ve got something planned for July? Which I highly doubt it and as awesome as a FH1 and FH2 remaster it’s not gonna happen cause they have to do a lot of licensing and etc and vice-versa so it’s definitely about FH6 and maybe something about FH6 is exciting more so than the previous 5 titles? Is my guess
