I definitely get what u are saying and agree in some parts. I just think its a really bad move from them. That’s all
Anyone found a solution to this, i’ve been attempting to “fix” this all afternoon/evening.
Game worked perfectly fine for me, untill open world aspect loaded in, now everytime i try to go into the open world, game crashes randomly, within a second or a minute with some luck. I managed to do the first event but crashed 5 times to get there, crashed again when returning from the event into the open world. Crashed again after picking one of the two story missions to do at the start. Crashed after getting my first skill point while AI was explaining it.
I’ve done the same stuff as OP and probably more. I’m going to disable Avast to see if this helps. The best results i got was playing offline, i managed to go from festival to event without crashing, then cleared the event and when loading back into open world game crashed. At first i thought it was an internet connectivity issue, but doesn’t seem like it.
The whole car list is a massive disappointment. There is hardly anything new, not talking about the new super or hypercars but there are basically no facelifts or new generation of anything past 2015 in there. Cars that were already missing in FH4 sill have not been added - stuff like the Audi RS3, which had 2 generations and even more facelifts between the one in the game and now. The RS6 C8 is also missing although it’s more than 2 years old now. And how dare they remove my beloved 599 GTO and the whole of Lancia and Alfa is just beyond me. Yeah yeah it’s all about licenses yadda yadda yadda…which brings me to my main point - why didn’t PG wait another year with the release, collect the licenses and just blast us off our seats with a really hefty car list which is kinda THE unique selling point of a Forza Horizon IMO. This and the map.

Were there any cars given this time for playing previous Forza games. If so does anyone know what they are?

The cover car from each previous game you played
I played a few hours of FH5 in Early Access.
One of the complaints I found was the exclusive car lineup.
For example, the Lambo Huracan and Mazda RX-7 FD are among the cars with multiple trim levels, but all trim levels are available for purchase at auto shows.
However, the RX-7 FC/Hoonigan RX-7, and Jaguar F-Type/F-Type Project 7 are both exclusive cars and are not available for purchase at auto shows.
Why make both of them exclusive when there are cars with multiple variants?
And vice versa, why are there models where all variants are available for purchase at the auto show?
PG’s criteria for selecting exclusive cars is completely baffling.
Really surprised to see that Manteo’s spreadsheet does not include every single car present at launch.
Your excel work used to be my bible …
I get hired and suddenly I find myself very busy. I’ll see if I can get this updated today. Thanks for the interest!

I’ve used your god-like spreadsheets for years, lol.
Download them and make my own modif to fit my own usage.
I use them to compare and follow my garages in my 4 profiles, he he.
Hope you enjoy your new position !!
Car selection in the past 2-3 installments of Horizon (and Motorsport) has been pretty grim to be honest. I’ve played every Forza game from Motorsport 2, and the car list haven’t changed that much. We do see some new cars added here and there but no way near what it should be. The latest Audi in FH5 is from 2016(!). Where is the new RS6/RS4/RS3? Latest BMW is from 2018, and where is the new Mercedes AMG’s (A45, C43, C63, E53)? And why not switch it up a little and add some SUV’s as well (Audi SQ5, Merc GLE63, etc). There are so many new and exciting ‘non-supercar’ cars that hasn’t been added to the game. Not sure why they can’t add more cars into the game? Is it licensing issues? Maybe licenses has become stupidly expensive or something? I’ll give them credit for having alot of cars, but that’s only exciting for new players really. The hardcore fans that have been playing Forza games for the last 15 years doesn’t get that much new stuff.
People have been pretty vocal about the lack of new and exciting cars the last few years, but Playground/T10 havent really been taking notes. So I’m not really positive for a change any time soon, not even the next Horizon and Motorsport.
I compared the full car list from FH4 to FH5 in a spread sheet and almost all of the cars are copy/paste from FH4. There isn’t a whole lot of new other stuff either. Some new body kits and diffs/transmissions, bit other than that it’s just the same old Forza. They’ve added handful of new wheels, but again, alot of copy/paste from previous games. If it wasn’t for Gamepass I probably would’ve skipped this one.
Dodge neon srt4 please and thanks
Honestly somewhat disappointed with the car list from launch. Every other aspect of the game is great for the most part but, seeing the same cars we’ve driven since FM3 and FH1 is just getting to be abit boring severe lack of new to Forza, updated versions and new model year vehicles, it feel like I’m back in FH3/FH4 again which nobody wants again, also barn finds are a let down, same recycled cars we could get in the auto show at one point except a small few new additions.
With you, 100%
For many of us who’ve been playing since FH1, it’s a huge disappointment. The car list has become stale and it needs a serious overhaul. plus no improvement to the customization options is a letdown too. And the barn finds!?? what a massive letdown. I unlocked 5 of them in a row and all of them were recycled cars from previous games!? what the hell man! barn finds used to mean something. That’s why I’ve become attached to the '71 Hemi Cuda, which was THE FIRST barn find I got in FH1.
After almost 24h of play and the constant letdowns, I’m gonna stop playing.

It’s a decent list I think. The new cars are neat, new bodykits is always great. Although I find there’s still some customisation inconsistencies here and there like with the track width cars not having new engine swaps. I know Alfa Romeo and Fiat/Abarth are missing at the moment along with a few other cars here and there, but I’m sure they’ll be back through the Playlist.

I cannot believe the Toyota Hillux/Tacoma and the 4Runner were left out. They added so many good offroaders like the Gladiator and new Bronco. Fingers crossed for DLCs?
This legit?
[Edit - we have not announced cars beyond the Nov. 9th announcement, and we don’t allow discussion of ‘leaks’ or related links - MM]
I had just won the Alfa 155 and done a touring car livery for that before FH5 launched and so that was the end of that.
And I had various “Opel Omega” DTM liveries done for the Lotus Carlton before FH5 launched and that was also the end of that.
Refresh is needed but watch out about what you are refreshin’ too.
