my forza has always had issues but i fixed them the explorer.exe issues i fixed but recently it’s been crashing more and more from just going into a tunnel to just crash on startup i can launch the game just fine but as soon as it’s done loading and you can go into your house it just freezes and because i kill explorer.exe whenever i start i have to restart my entire pc what it ended up being was a corrupted master boot record (thx samsung magitcian) so i ended up resetting my entire pc and redownloading forza and it still crashes even viewer thinks it’s nothing special in control panel it had this to say about it:

this all means it’s not me but microsoft i have tried uninstalling msi afterburner but that doesn’t work. what could i do to fix this? and here are the prob important specs:
i7 9700k
32gb of corsair vengeance rgb pro at 3200mhz
asus strix rtx 2080
and a 1tb samsung 970 plus
your not the only one crashing. my game will crash randomly I even tried the hotfix driver and that didn’t work but I do thank its the drivers.
same here, reinstalled Windows 10 Pro twice, Forza Horizon 4 five times, now installing Forza 7 to see if the same issue is on that game.
Tried installing to a different SSD drive and same result!

Update 10.6.19 :
Spoke to Microsoft about the issue, very helpful guy on the end. gave me a command line to run in Windows Powershell (Admin). Make sure your not downloading anything from the M$ Store. the command line Fransico T gave me was this…Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
Then try Launching FH4 again. Currently on the 7th time download of FH4 so i hope it works. Just let me know if it worked for anyone else 
or its back to square 1 again! 
I can confirm all is working using this command…Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
I have also noted down, that when Windows asks to use the microphone for Forza and you select NO the game will NOT work. It crashes at the desktop splash screen
Enabling the Windows Microphone and keeping it off in the game settings the game works fine…
Clearly a bug for the developers to work on!
