Forza Horizon 4 Soundtrack

I basically sound like a grouch by now, but it’s really a pet peeve of mine that “rock” in video games typically just means American hard punk rock with nonstop aggression and a gruff dude all gruff gruffing away - while metal in turn tends in games to translate to metalcore. Like, I get that that’s the classic x-games-tony-hawk-jackass-go-pro-on-a-skateboard sound, but I wish sometimes we’d also hear some more laid-back and artsy rock in video game soundtracks.

what happened to future classic radio?
is it gone?? do you unlock it later lol, i havent been playing fh4 that long i’ve been pretty busy. not complaining because I still love the music in fh4 just like every other horizon game. but i still miss the best radio station in fh3.
rip

Only one question - where to buy the whole soundtrack to listen OFFLINE, may be some ways to grab it from the gamefiles?

My favorite stations in FH3 were Pulse and Bass Radio. FH4 music pales in comparison to FH3. I also noticed that FH4 music repeats much more frequently than FH3 :frowning:

I played the heck out of FH3 and it was the music that I also really enjoyed. FH4 not so much.

FH4 music is disappointing.

Why doesn’t Sunrise play?

I’m talking about Sunrise by Fred V & Grafix, aka the Intro race song. This song is split into 4 parts, one named after each season, and is basically the theme song for the whole game.

So why Playground? Why would you commission this amazing song, get me so hyped with the intro race, and then make it so the song will never play on the radio?

I honestly don’t know where to post this with hopes of someone seeing it that can make the change, but this is just a small thing that I really wish was possible.

Glad I’m not the only one who noticed this.

Also, what’s strange is that sometimes you can hear the Spring Mix of Sunrise playing in the pre-race menu.

It’s such a good song, don’t know why it isn’t in-game… :frowning:

Spring and Summer are my favorites. I actually listen to them on my ride to and from work. I wish they were longer than 90 seconds

Why is Hospital Records Radio doesnt playing Fred V & grafix Sunrise, it only apears in the Prolog

Love the OST overall, discovered several amazing songs from PULSE such as “Shooting Star” , sounds retro and amazing overall.

Now, I loved the Soundtrack of FH1 and 2, FH3 had some good bangers in there, but FH4’s is very… disappointing tbh. XS has some good ones, Bass Arena has like, 1-2 good ones that are slowly becoming garbage due to how much I’ve heard em. Pulse is bleh, Timeless is no where as good as FH3’s, and then Bass Arena is… Alright-ish. CAN YOU JUST GIVE ME THE OPTION TO DISABLE MUSIC COMPLETLEY??? Please!?.. Turning the music all the way down and turning streamer mode on is the closet I can get to being “Music Free” but eeeeeeeverytime I restart the game I have to turn streamer mode on again. I jus wanna turn music off >.>

Edit: Also the only good song on that dumb Rap Radio is Rappers Delight. Fite me ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Just turn the radio off. Scroll to the right past Timeless and there is a ‘Radio Off’ option. No need to mess with settings.

You take that back! nothing will ever top timeless in FH3! D:<

Except for Timeless in FH2!

I listen to Spotify when I play. I have it turned up enough that I don’t hear the cut scene music. I have the engine sounds maxed so I can still hear when to shift.

I’m getting bored of Pulse and Arena pretty quick. I was still enjoying FH3’s tracks until FH4 launch so IDK what happened there. There are some good songs but I hear them all of the time and I’m still irritated that music is sequential and not on shuffle like FH1. The lack of Future Classic further decreases the selection of music I listen to in the game. Why didn’t they return…?

That said, never a big deal. I just run Spotify in the background. And have the volume adjusted as if it were integrated into the game. Which it should’ve been, but considering how many annoying speed/drift zones there are, I don’t care because most of the time I’m driving the music gets muffled by that mess. Why does our music have to get muffled when passing through a speed zone again? So irritating. Never happened in FH1, should’ve kept it that way.

I have to agree that FH4 music is pretty weak. Few good tracks and very repeatable (less songs than in previous games?) and a bit too pop/mainstream. The game has been out less than a month and I’m already running Spotify in the background. I miss Future Classic too and in my opinion FH3 has the best (times and times better) music out of the four games. FH1 had some moments (“I’m so cool, and I’m so groovy, when I go bom bom boooooom!”) and FH2 was pretty meh.

Yeah, personally I find the music pretty garbage, cringy, annoying. Only station I was able to listen to was timeless, but that got repetitive after a hour or so. Not being able to set the music to 0 is trash as well. I’m not entirely sure why is there no way of adding custom music. GTA can do it, and you spend less time in a car there than you do in forza…

Literally the first thing I do in any driving game is to turn music off and fire up my spotify on background.

I’ve listed to XS mostly. And some of the songs grew on me, but they’re starting to get repetitive. Trying to get into Pulse, but honestly, it’s just not my thing. When all else fails, there’s Timeless. Because there’s always a place for Classical, and the DJ has a very subtle story arc if you listen carefully.

In FH3, I started with Pulse, until I got bored with it, then started surfing around. The one that really caught my attention was Epitaph. But they didn’t make it into FH4 for some reason.

I came late to FH2, and none of the music in that one really appeals to me. Not sure why. Maybe I just haven’t listened to it enough.

I’ve said before, but what I’d really like is a way to turn it off in particular scenarios, like have it on for freeroam, but off for events, so that I don’t have to cycle through to find the off button.
