• We’ve addressed a game exploit whereby players could use Forza Edition cars to gain unrealistic leveling and rewards. In the interest of maintaining game balance, we have instituted rewards changes for all Forza Edition cars, replacing flat XP secondary rewards with a percentage-based credit (CR) reward. With this update, all Forza Edition cars will offer a primary percentage CR reward and a secondary conditional percentage CR reward. All VIP Forza Edition cars will now offer a primary +50% CR reward and a secondary conditional +50% CR reward. For example, the 2000 Nissan Silvia Spec-R Forza Edition previously offered a primary CR reward of +25% and a secondary flat +5,000 XP award after 3 good drifts in a race. With this update, the Silvia now offers a primary reward of +25% CR and a secondary reward of +25% CR after 3 good drifts in a race. As a further example, the 2014 BMW M4 Coupe Forza Edition (a VIP FE car) previously offered a primary +40% CR reward and a secondary flat +10,000 XP reward at the Nürburgring. With the update, the BMW now offers a primary +50% CR reward and a secondary +50% CR reward at the Nürburgring.
This is the kind of attitude that annoys me more than anything. Exploiting a glitch to get all the cars and money and then short racing through the cups does not equal “beating the game.” In a game like Forza Motorsport the experience of driving and perfecting your line in many cars on many tracks is what it’s all about.
Definitely not. A game is about what you expect from it. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you know what a game like Forza is about for anybody else. For some it’s bearing the career on easy with all assists in short races, for others it’s drifting around the tracks, for others it’s building a great livery and seeing thousands of uses, for others it’s racing without assists in extra long races, for others it is purely Rivals. There is no such thing as “a game like Forza Motorsport is all about XY”.
Definitely not.
Once you agree therms of services you know that you don’t own anythin, you just paid for a license to use the game following their rules. Abusing glitches break ToS allowing them to ban you.
I agree anyone is free to play the way he want but always following their rules.
I think you miss the point of my original post. Exploiting a game for a few hours to get the credits and cars doesn’t qualify as “beating the game.” That’s an RPG 100% achievement hunter, finish it out, just move on to the next philosophy.
There’s certainly nothing clever about copying another person’s methods of exploiting glitches but I wholeheartedly agree with X1 Two regarding an individual’s right to have his or her own particular preferences for liking and playing a game.
Having played Forza Horizon, Horizon 2, Horizon 2 Fast & Furious Edition, Horizon 3, Apex, FM4, FM5, FM6, FM7 and many other motor racing games including F1, Gran Turismo and even Pole Position on a ZX Spectrum, I think I have good knowledge of driving lines and a corner’s apex and I’m not looking to broaden that aspect. What I want firstly is an enjoyable and a fair game, satisfaction from achieving challenges, the opportunity to feel a little of what it is like to drive great cars at great tracks and possibly gain some knowledge about cars, overtaking, driving technique, steering, braking, traction control, drifting, gearing, tuning, upgrading and opponents behavior. But others will have different preferences which is fine. Some just like collecting things such as Pokemon cards etc.
One person’s trash is another’s treasure. Grinding short races for fixed credits was boring and annoying to the point that I only ever bothered with it once for about ten minutes. The FE cars are now better from my perspective because I can get more credits running the longer races I like. These are the same races where mod cards become worth it and you can have better races against high level AI. So it all works better together.
This. So much this. I find grindng short races boring too, I do love running longer races too, especially against higher level AI. I’m glad Forza has introduced longer races in career mode now.
I’m so glad this fix has been implemented. If people want to utilize FE cars they will have to do real length events. Exploit loopholes should be fixed as soon as possible but this one was a little obvious. It’s pretty clear to see that a fixed bonus would never reward anyone running a decent length race but would be exploited by those who want to cheat the system.
