There’s and all-new Ranger Raptor, in which as of now, it has debuted across the whole world. Internationally. This new generation is known as the T6.2, which Ford continued to utilize the T6 chassis.
It is now officially available in the USA, thanks to the powerful 3.0 gasoline Twin-turbo Ecoboost V6 which produces 405HP and 430 lb-ft (583 nm) of Torque. More like it has the same vibe with the Bronco Raptor.
Unlike the previous Ranger Raptor, which is already in FH4 and FH5 currently, has a 2.0 Bi-Turbo Diesel, which is not permitted for the US market. Although, the original T6 Ranger arrived to USA in 2019, but it’s only in a 2.3 Ecoboost engine option. It was marked as Ranger’s return to the USA because it was sold primarily in USA and Canada from 1983 until 2012.
I would like to see this car in FH5
The Ford Ranger is a compact or mid-size pickup marketed globally by Ford over a series of generations, varying between both in-house or outside development and manufacturing — and with a hiatus in North America from 2011-2018.
Ford Ranger (P703), produced since 2022 based on the T6 platform.
Debuting as a compact pickup in North America in 1982 for the 1983 model year, the Ranger was later introduced in some South American countries. From 1998 to 2011, the Ranger nameplate was used for models developed by Mazda for sale outside the North American market. In 2011, Ford introduced the first Ranger based on the T6 platform. Considered a mid-size pickup truck, the model was developed in-house by Ford Australia. In that same year, the North American-market Ranger was discontinued, leaving the T6 platform-based Ranger as the sole Ranger model worldwide.
For the 2019 model year, the Ranger was reintroduced in North America using the globally-marketed T6 model. It is manufactured at the Michigan Assembly Plant at Wayne, Michigan. The Ranger is smaller than the F-150 and larger than the Maverick in the Ford North American pickup truck range, while for markets outside the Americas it is typically the only Ford pickup offered for sale.
Hopefully, it will be the US Model because it has the most HP compared to the ones in Australia and Europe, which Ford detunes it due to some emmisions standards and restrictions from these countries.
However in select Asian markets, they still retained the 2.0 Bi-turbo I4 Diesel due to low demand. Philippines had the same fate too.
I feel like it should be the EU spec which yes has less power but if the current Ranger Raptor in the game is EU spec then the new one should, that responsibility should be Playground Games’ not Turn 10
It wouldn’t feel right having the American spec even though the game is set in Mexico
The first-ever Ranger Raptor runs on the same 405HP 3.0L EcoBoost V6 but with a specially-developed 10-speed AT, a full-time 4x4 system with an Electromechanical Transfer Case, 10.7 inches of ground clearance, Ford Trail Control, electronic-locking rear differential, and Fox Racing shocks with Live Valve technology .
As someone who is a Filipino, the Ranger Raptor is very common in the country. But for the new one, the Philippine model still retained the 2.0 Bi-turbo Diesel from the previous-gen, which is a pity and it’s due to how the V6 is quite expensive for the Philippine market, maybe it’s also in low demand. Same fate goes to Vietnam and Indonesia.
However, I would definitely look forward to the US-spec Ranger Raptor that has the exact 405HP mentioned. It will make my day so worth if it arrives in FH5 and/or FH6.
Particularly, the previous one in-game is actually an AU-spec because its speedometer is km/h and it’s not available in the USA, which means the new one should be the US model at least because it’s finally available in the USA.
It will definitely feel right for the US-Ranger Raptor to be added because it can cross down to Mexico. Mexico and USA are connected between borders and they’re both part of North America.
Now, with Bronco Raptor and F-150 Raptor R already in-game as of now, It’s time for the 2023 Ranger Raptor to shine up next! I’m sure it’s going to be the US Model because:
It’s available in the USA, unlike the previous one.
The US Model has the most HP compared to EU, AU, and select Asian market models. US has 405HP, AU has 392HP, EU has 282HP, and some Asian market models like Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam gets the same 210HP from the previous-gen.
I’m guessing the new Ranger Raptor will be in a US Model, concerning that Bronco Raptor and F-150 Raptor R are US-only Raptors. If they cross down from USA to Mexico, so can the new Ranger Raptor. GET THE AMERICAN-SPEC, PLEASE!!!
The first 3 generations of Ford Ranger were available and made in the USA since 1982, since the T6 wasn’t available in the US from 2011-2018, it arrived to USA in 2019 instead, despite the T6 being considered as a Global pickup. And the T6.2 is the first Ranger Raptor in the USA.
I mentioned earlier that Mexico and USA are part of North America between borders. So I guess it would be odd for an American vehicle to cross through the border of Mexico. Or the other way around.
