So is it not possible to get the cars that came with the Pennzoil pack or any of the other DLC packs if you have the Season Pass? I ask because I downloaded every free car that came with all of the DLC packs and Iām wondering if I get the Season Pass will I be able to get the other cars as well?
Iāve been active in conversations about this issue on a few forums. One person on another forum states they had downloaded all the free cars except one, bought the season pass in the last sale, but didnāt download any of the actual car packs before the DLC was pulled. Then they started playing the game for the first time and found they had access to all the season pass car packs except the one in which they forgot to download the free car. Iāve spread the word about this, but I have been unable to find anyone who was in the same situation and could verify that this works.
I downloaded the free cars as they came out and bought the season pass this spring. I never downloaded the car packs because as soon as I got the season pass all the cars from the packs were available in game. The free cars contain the whole car pack with only one unlocked so that players can see the other cars in the pack when they race online against someone driving one of those cars. In theory it should work.
The season pass is only $15 at Gamestop.com (and maybe they would give a refund if the code doesnāt provide the DLC it is supposed to) if someone wants to take the risk and try it out, but I would recommend seeing if someone else can verify this theory before spending money on DLC that may or may not work. Of course, itās been weeks now without anyone else verifying one way or the other.
Thank you all for all your posts here, they have been very informative. I game in phases but I have played and loved all the Forza games. Forza was in part what converted me to Xbox along with Halo on the original console. I only recently, upon playing the next-gen Forzas, learned of the rewards program and am a big fan. I completed Forza 4, as far as achievements go, a few years ago so I thought nothing more of it at the time, but after discovering the rewards program I went back to finish up everything required to maximize my rewards. Unfortunately I discovered the rewards program about a week after the dlc and tokens were removed. The posts here helped quide me to purchasing my required dlc on ebay. But the missing 300 points for the tokens will forever drive me crazy as a completionist. I still log into Forza 4 every day hoping that by some miracle I will be able to purchase the few required tokens to complete itās rewards score. I will continue to play, love and support Forza, but having an incompletion is a veritable scar to someone like me who literally lives for gaming.
It is a shame, why you withdraw the content if the game still continues in sale? It is the last game that I buy of turn10 and all my contacts will know how you take care of your customers⦠I REALLY FEEL DEFRAUDED
This is pathetic. I officially completed forza motorsport 2 & 3 and was about to do the same with my favourite - forza 4 and they took out DLC. If they canāt be bothered to update it and bring it back, I wonāt bother spending my money buying an xbox one. Does anyone know how to contact them?
Mr Ekberg! ā¦There have been some heartfelt and sincere pleas from those who have recently purchased FM4 or MS point for DLC, that need answering. It would only be polite to answer them.
Theyāll put us on call waiting and force us to listen to elevator music until we hang up, and by hang up I mean call it quits with the Forza franchise.
Iām disappointed. I didnāt really want the Porsche pack for the cars, but I figured I would get it to round off the achievements it had. I assume this means Forza 4 isnāt ācompletableā?
Yes up to know seems itās still workable but who knows when Turn10 will shut it down that make the code no longer workable. So do it when itās still able to redeem
The vast majority of Xbox Live codes donāt expire and most that do are a promotional thing like the 240 points code packed into Dance Central 2 games released for day one sales, although the Stig Pack for FM3 did expire. It would be more likely that these retailers sell out of the Porsche Pack codes. Either way, for anyone who has a real interest in getting the Porsche pack or other codes available, I wouldnāt wait long at all.
Again, disappointing. I understand pulling the DLC if itās strictly a licensing issue, but it would be nice if they put out a final update that let you get the achievements an alternate way, or removed the Porsche DLC from consideration on the achievement progress page for those of us that missed the boat. Maybe if I uninstall the patches and never run it while on Live, it will count itself as complete?
I suppose if it were actually that easy, they would have removed the uncompletable marketplace achievement for Forza 2 (which is the only thing thatās preventing me from picking it up, honestly)
This wouldnāt be as irritating in Forza 5 or 6, as they both have community based achievements Iāll probably never unlock (that, and I know that retiring DLCās is a thing now), but the completionist in me (and others) really wish there was a solution here.
Wow, cool that I bought FM4 LME on yesterday and now get nothing for it. That“s the first and also the very last time I bought anything from Turn10. I don“t care about licence hokus-pokus, all that matters to me as a customer, is to get what you have paid for. That“s not the case here!
Their explanation about āEnd of Lifeā status sounds like a lot of double talk to me! How can this game be at EOL when some many are still playing!!! And about the licensing or right to trademarks, etcā¦, is a bunch of hooey to! How could that apply to the āHudson Hornetā when that company no longer exists! This all about the āMicsosoftā bottom line, straight and simple!
Please donāt shoot me. Iām going to support Turn 10 slightly. I donāt mind the game going end of life (EOL). It is a 5 year old game. You have to stop support at some time. What I didnāt like was the suddenness at which it went EOL. There was no warning. As I mentioned in an earlier post they screwed up here. If they had announced the EOL a month prior to it going EOL, a lot of people would have bought the DLC before it was removed. They missed a chance to make money.
Addition: I made a mistake it is only a 4 year old program.
Well said Jim, the fact that the DLC has been EOLād isnāt an issue (for those wondering - Hudson rights were owned by Chrysler last I saw and those buying ānewā discs will find they are what car guys would call NOS, or stock that has been sitting somewhere forever and have only just been sold). Communication (on itās own website no less) from T10 is still poor and they should really put some serious effort into improving this substantially.
