Yet youre happy about changes you havent tried yet. I think most people just expected more changes than whats been given.
The online mode of this game is getting boring
It’s kinda funny that the headline feature for this update is “Exxon Mobil cut us a big cheque”.
I’d love to give my opinion of the AI and graphical fixes, but the game is still crashing to desktop whenever I back out of menus.

Regardless, I don’t wanna get bogged down in that discussion again. I’m playing the update now on PC. Is anyone else experiencing longer-than-normal loading times for career races? Not sure about other modes yet.
Happy they’ve listened and responded, yes. I’ve given no verdict on the quality of said update. I’ve been a critic of this game from day 1, but y’all treat anyone who isn’t ready to burn down T10 headquarters as if they are paid shills.
It’s possible to be critical while not painting everything, and everyone, with the same brush. But that may be too much nuance for you lot.
Saving them for paid DLC, I imagine
Wow! Tire wear multiplier! Thats huge! Doesn’t let 'em off the hook for taking so long to have basic things like that in game, but, I’ll give them credit for getting it in
So we can’t use the tyre multiplier in Career championships?
Good question, if not already in with this patch, they need to do that AND let me pick freakin’ race length there, or let us create a series in free play, without using pen and paper to keep score
Just tried a freeplay race. 7 laps of Suzuka. Set tyre multiplier to x3. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to give you any idea of how many laps the tyres will do so can only be trial and error by the looks of it.
Tyres were only half worn by the end, so looks like you’d need x5 multiplier to require a possible pit stop for the stock 1970s F1 tyres i was using at that race length.
AI seemed utterly dreadful. Lots of cars just driving off the track. I gave them a 15 second lead before I started and still won by 54 seconds and lapped everyone up to 10th, so over a minute gained in a 14 minute race.
Just checked and not an option to increase tyre wear in career mode (at least not in the featured tour from last month). Hard to understand why they can’t implement it as an option there.
The video narrator mispronounced Caterham. Trivial I know, but still.
I wonder if that’s because they didn’t make AI aware that more tire wear means they should pit, instead of race on rims
I hope for fully working radar and AI drivers in custom multiplayer for June patch.
The updated Mid-Ohio Turn 1 feels right.
On the short layout it affects your entry into Turn 2 but nothing a few laps of realignment can’t sort out.
Might be a coincidence but tried multiplayer and had a 5 player lobby. Possibly a result of only matching with similar safety ratings.
I’ll have to turn on the speech to hear this, then set it back to zero so I don’t have to be told about the circuit whilst loading in every… single… time
HDR doesn’t work anymore, and still having to “optimize shaders” every time I launch the game.
