So we can’t use the Focus in the Touring Car races? It’s the only “American” brand, would be nice to use it in the American Touring Car Series
I thought I noticed something different there w the car selection, instead of taking me back to the beginning car list every time I change a menu. Yea it’s a nice touch.
Overall to the update in general.
I love the new features and rival stuff. Career is finally packed. Removing nascar was a big miss for me. Yea I like open wheeled, but I don’t wana drive it all the time. If the open wheeled had good sounding v8 engines I’d drive them more often. Guess I’ll have to wait a month if and when nascar comes back to fm. Such a shame. Idk how many player counts you lost doing this, seen complaints all over social media.

NASCAR will be back next week. It swaps weekly with IndyCar, as mentioned in the Update 21 Release Notes.

There is a massive improvement in the AI behavior in the 21st update. I tested the different races of the game’s Career mode for several hours. I came to the observation that the AI is not the same in the old and new game modes. In the older race modes before the 21st update, such as the 20th Anniversary Cup, the AI still makes mistakes in many cases, brakes unnecessarily and is slow in places. However, in the new Champions Cup, a significant improvement can be seen, this AI is MUCH better, even better than it was on Playtest!
I ran about 10 races within the Champions Cup on difficulty level 8 and had a great experience. They are competitive in these races, there are no sudden unjustified braking and they are faster. They really overtake the player’s car if they find the opportunity, they are not many seconds behind and even quickly overtake the vehicles that need to be overtaken. I ran several races in the Touring Car series where it can be said to be sensational to play against the AI. In one race, starting from the middle of the field in difficulty level 8, I only caught up with the first AI car on the last lap and we crossed the finish line at the same time, 16 thousandths of a second apart!
However, in other Cups such as the Builders Cup, there is still the old AI that needs to be improved to the new, more advanced one.
Overall, I’m very impressed with the performance of the new AI, congratulations to the developers!

All of the returning Featured Tours show as complete with gold trophies. I have completed them in the past, but surely they should be empty to be able to win the cars again?

I don’t know, but I think Nascar is much better in the ovals than the indy in the ovals, the indy is good in the road corsa, I propose that the nascar be permanent, prioritizing the ovals, and the yndy the road corse
Yeah they need to remove those ovals (minus Indianapolis) and add actual IndayCar tracks to the rotation (Laguna Seca, Road America, Mid-Ohio, Indy GP).
Indycar is racing at Road America in about three hours in real life by the way.
The Indycars do ovals one day and then road courses the next day. And on road course days, all the tracks you mentioned are in rotation. They switch it day by day based on the aero package that the cars run and its just easier for them to do it that way sense they have different BOP based on the aero package they use.
Next up is the white Mx5 cup.

Just so I’m clear….there are no NEW (never released) cars in all these career events? You’re just now able to win all the previous monthly event cars? The Indycars are the only new cars added in this update.
I’d really like to see some of the cars that FH5 got but FM8 is missing like the 2022 WRX and the latest Ford Focus ST as examples. Hopefully Turn 10 adds them or offers a cad pack in the future. Hope to still see more real world tracks too.

1vs1 stock new cars its better. Motor chasis all its always better. What Forza did with the returns makes no sense
