just came on to rant about the AI real quick. Eagle rock was not fun. I ususally play on difficulty 3 cause I don’t want a challenge, but on eagle rock the front three were almost a second faster than me and 3 to 4 seconds faster than everyone else, until it came to the pit stop, after that they fell in line with where they were supposed to be.

they were getting 26.1 per lap before and almost 28 after. please have the AI drive consistantly based on difficulty, i get real tired of this dynamic difficulty stuff.

An observation after doing multiplayer NASCAR last night:

The track schedule alternates aim the pattern of circuit, oval, circuit, oval, etc.

That’s generally fine, however if you’re the kind of player who daisy-chains races together (by queuing up for the next race directly from the post-race menu), the Medium length races railroad you.

As an example, I started a session last night on Homestead Oval, then my next races were Sunset Oval, Eaglerock Oval, Daytona Oval, Indianapolis Oval. I didn’t get to do a circuit race all night.

In order to break away from this pattern I’d need to essentially skip a race and do a very long practice session on a circuit to then get railroaded onto those kinds of tracks.

Maybe the pattern needs adjusting, to something like this:

  • oval, oval, circuit circuit, oval, circuit (and repeat)
