CARS

Note that Reward cars are only available to collect by the event deadline; they are not available from Buy Cars. Spotlight cars are briefly discounted but permanently added to Buy Cars.

• The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and 2014 Chevrolet #3 Corvette Racing Corvette C7.R are this week’s Spotlight cars in the Buy Cars menu, available at a 30% discount through August 21.
• The 2020 Hyundai #98 Bryan Herta Autosport Veloster N is discounted 15% for VIPs through August 21. The 2018 KTM X-Bow GT4 is also discounted 15% for VIPs through September 11.
• The 1998 Nissan #23 Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R is available as a Reward car for completing the Open Tour in Career any time by September 11.
• The 2018 Aston Martin #97 AMR Vantage GTE will be available in September as a Reward for completing the Road to Race Tour in Career by September 25, 2024.

Spotlight Corvette events:

The C7 Corvette Z06 was a blast specially in races 1 and 3 Road Atlanta and Grand Oak.

The C7.R didn’t receive as much love as the C8.R or both Z06 of gen7 and 8.

Liked the track mix in both road and race series.

In my opinion, the Featured Tour is getting better when developers dare to change the unwritten rules of how long races are and the number of them. Updates 5, 9, 10 and 11 support this.

Tried my first multiplayer in a looong time. Clean race, exited, went and loaded a different tune.

Went back to multiplayer and this… game goes off into lala land while watching the various timers tick down… practice, qualifying, intermission… zzzz

On a high spec PC as well:

Cliché to be one of those but… it really is uninstall time and probably game pass sacking after so many disappointments.

As of Update 11, I get occasionally stuck in an infinite Loading Screen

After joining an online Multiplayer event and picking a car, I occasionally get stuck in this loading screen below. I’m not yet 100% sure, but this issue only seems to appear, if the car has a custom tune applied. [loading]

Hurry and slurp up the trash FOMO turn 0 is feeding you. that’s if you’re still bothering to play, which you shouldn’t. 0 active players would do a lot to force the point with Turn useless

At the moment I think there are too many active Featured Multiplayer events, which is spreading the playerbase too thinly.

This is most obvious in the multi-class events where some races will have 1 or even no cars in a specific group.

Too many concurent events (The problem is likely not what you think)

This is where I like Gran Turismo Sport’s system: https://www.gran-turismo.com/us/gtsport/manual/#!/sportmode/content03 You had 3 events, that’s it. Not 3 events per playlist, 3 playlists period. Initially, the track in each playlist didn’t even change, though the playlists changed daily. They ran every 20 minutes (if I remember correctly). Announcement: We’ve made backend changes to Forza Motorsport based on community feedback on Xbox Series X|S and PC and the following will be in effect upon restart of the game with no download necessary

• We’ve adjusted the scheduling cadence of Featured Multiplayer by increasing practice lengths for Endurance Races to 40 minutes and Long Race to 25 minutes. This is done to reduce the number of active races that overlap to mitigate some lobby size issues.
• This will also reduce Open Class Multi-Class & Long Race tire wear from 6x to 4x for more impactful tire strategies.
