FH5 Steam question

Hello.
Could someone please tell me if it’s possible to play the steam version of FH5 without internet?
Do you still have to have internet every time you launch it like the MS store version?
I really hope you can just play it if steam is offline, because I really don’t like the offline permission limitations on the MS store version and I also don’t like how you still have to be on internet the first time you launch it after a reboot.
Thanks in advance.

If you saved your steam password you can launch steam into offline mode. From there you can start FH5 without an internetconnection. Obviously it will fall back to a default playlist and you have drivatars all over the map, but it will work.

You can. Its no different. As previous comment said you can launch steam in offline mode and the game will launch as it normally would. For as lons as you’ve logged in once through your microsoft account you dont have to worry about having no internet to play the game.

Thanks for the replies.
So is it definitely different compared to the MS store version?
I’m just making sure because when you say about logging into my MS account, you obviously need internet to do that correct me if I’m wrong, my point being that if you need to do that each time you launch steam or relaunch, it defeats the object because you still need internet to log in anyway.

No no you dont need to log in each time you launch/relaunch steam. Its automatically saved.

But if you have progress in your microsoft account it will not transfer over to steam thats the difference.

Ahh that’s great! Can you tell me why the MS version always needs internet?
Also do you know any way that I can transfer my save data across?

Save data is impossible to transfer from Microsoft to Steam sadly (Cross play not cross save). As for the MS version I didnt know it needed an internet connection? Both being offline will have limited access to alot of online features (fallback playlist, drivatars mentioned earlier appearing on map, etc.). They should be the same across both the Steam and Microsoft counterparts.

No, the MS store version doesn’t let you go offline unless you have internet the first time you launch after a restart; and also you have to have offline permissions enabled which you can only have on one computer and you can only change it 3 times in a year.
That’s why I’m asking about the steam version, because if they are the same then there’s no point me buying it again.
