FH4 Expansion 2: LEGO Speed Champions - June 13

I’m probably the one that is the most critical of the expansion around here and I can say it wouldn’t bother me the least, mostly because I’ve simply stopped playing the whole game.

it’s funny as AWD Senna is the slowest hypercar in game with only 370km/h vmax XD

Yeah, the Lego Senna is faster and better handling than the actual Senna. Some peeps won’t like that! LOL. The Lego one doesn’t need custom aero. Take it for a spin around the oval race track and see.

I was in town on the weekend, and went through Toys R Us (they still exist in Canada) and picked up the Ferrari and the Senna, because… why not. I didn’t get the Mini because they didn’t have one by itself. The one they had was part of a larger set.

They are a lot more involved than they look just from the game models. They’re a good 4-5 inches long, with around 200 parts, and took a couple hours each to put together.

The hood, bumper, and spoiler swap-out options on the F-40 in-game are available in the LEGO kit as well. They even give you enough pieces to have the hood and bumper pre-assembled, so you can just pop them off, and stick the new ones on. The red and black spoiler are just one piece.

The Senna doesn’t have any swapping options, but it does have the active aero on a pivot, just like in the game. And it comes with like a wind tunnel fan, which is handy if you want to have a separate piece to get lost and stepped on. The cluster of exhaust ports in the back is just a decal, which is disappointing, but I’m not sure how else they could have done it at the scale they were working with. A custom piece, maybe. [edit: and I almost forgot, when Kira mentions something about one of the pieces being upside down, I know what that means. There’s one clear piece that you put stickers on and put in upside down around the cockpit.]

When you unlock the Senna in-game, and Jay says it’s the most complicated set of instructions he’s ever had to follow, I was like “Please, I support server software for a living. I’ve seen far worse.”

I’m on an x1x as well and I’m getting a ton of micro freezes since the lego update. They happened before of course but it was much more rare. In Lego Valley it’s constant to the point where I started to get used to it until it froze for 4 or 5 seconds and I thought I was going to have to restart.

I was going to say it’s unbelievable but it’s not. At this point, I expect them to mess something up with every update. It’s really sad because I enjoy the game more than most. It’s basically the only thing I play. I preordered the ultimate edition and I’ve gotten 100% every season since they introduced the playlist, except this one because I didn’t look at it for a few days after hearing about the lego expansion and missed one of the dailies.

Please submit a ticket if you are getting performance issues, etc. The more people submitting should giving the devs a heads up that it affects quite a few people.

Just finished all the bricks and enjoyed every bit of the DLC. I will continue playing around in Lego Valley and once the Barn Find is updated I will go discover that. I did buy the Lego Speed Champions Ferrari F40 Competizone and looking forward to putting that together soon! Thanks Lego and PG for this DLC!

I swear each update that happens, the loading times increase. I’m also running on Xbox One X and the performance is terrible and its in performance mode too. So many screen freezes/pauses.

On a side note, I reached the part where you need bricks to build the UFO, but I literally cant be bothered doing boring grindy brick challenges.

Im not having any of these issues as usual
Also on xbone X
But i also properly restart my console at least once a week from the console settings screen
It seems to be the only way to trigger the weekly superspins but also keeps my console without issue

I don’t have those issues, I used to but started regularly cold restarting my X Box which helped a lot. Also it was running very hot with the fan running all the time. I increased the air space around the Xbox and cleaned some dust from the vents and noticed a big improvement.

My Xbox is out in the open (as in not enclosed in anything), even has a window open above it. There’s literally nothing wrong with other games. Its the recent updates that have caused it. Im not fussed though, as I rarely play this anymore.

So do you properly restart your console from the console settings screen after each update or not

But it doesnt matter since you rarely play anyway

I have never restarted or reset my XBox One or XBox One X since I am concerned I might corrupt or delete some data. Both consoles have external SSDs and are great on the mainland -no stuttering or hesitation, images in garage always display correctly, very quick loading and fast travel etc.

For me I do occasionally experience some very temporary freezing in Lego Valley which I think is the game’s fault rather than the consoles but I might try a restart if I can be sure that it will not adversely affect my current data.

You’re just asking for issues not doing a console restart after a game update. Do you also never restart your phone, your PC or any other electronic Gizmo you may own? A console restart has no bearing on you game saves. But you do it your way if you wish, just deal with the consequences.

I finished it, don’t bother doing them you just get achievements and a super wheelspin.

I was not really impressed when the expansion was announced but I’m happy to admit I have really enjoyed it so far. There is a lot of variety and a lot of challenges. I’m even going to go so far as to say I am enjoying it more than Hotwheels. I can’t really understand the vehement criticism that has been levelled against this expansion in this thread. I bought the full pre release product and have been playing almost daily since then, If you divide hours of entertainment by money spent can you really think of something else which offers anywhere near this value for money?

Positive points.

Some really great routes
The Race Track
Variety and challenges

Negative points

It’s a bit easy
Some challenges are too repetitive.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this either ISNT the last expansion or the Lego land will expand. The explorer skill ISNT maxed out. There has to be some more new roads coming

Also, need 4 more Horizon Story Chapters and 12 more stars to get that star card completed. I suspect they will be rolling out at least 6 more DLC LEGO cars as well in future updates.

They have quite a few different options in adding more LEGO cars. Watch them be seasonal awards for the mainland. The McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 would be ridiculous.

I can’t wait for the Lego Superfast
