Started my first race after the update dropped and instantly was confused about how my wheel felt.
I have a Thrustmaster T248 and have been very happy with the FFB I settled on I have been using the same settings now for months but after update 10 my wheel honestly feels like It has been upgraded there is so much more detail in the ffb it feels amazing and has had me grinning like a mad man driving round various tracks.
I have checked the settings and everything is the same as it was pre update apart from one very curious thing. The vibration setting is now disabled because of truforce which I thought was only logitech.
Anyone else noticed this change.
Yes, I have noticed an improvement to FFB too. I struggled with GT3’s because they had a bit of a floaty disconnected feel on the wheel. Now It feels more detailed and direct.
I have a logitech and was confused when I saw the Vibration slider greyed out, thinking trueforce had been implemented but could not feel it working. Hopefully TF comes next update. Can only imagine how good the FFB will be then.
I also think that the ffb feels better. I drove tcr lobby yesterday and somehow I noticed more details. fanatec dd1 podium. The Porsche gts also feels more understandable than before.
I thought it was a little different too, but I was driving a new car at first when I noticed how good it was feeling. I went to one of my faves the Old Nissan Z and it has definately changed for the better, it was amazing to drive before and whatever they tweaked it worked. I too find it odd that there are no mention in the patch notes. It could be so that if it fails they can say “we didnt touch a thing” and simply revert the changes in the background, I wouldnt put that past t10 these days.
i noticed the improvement too, i have a G923 which uses Trueforce, but i don’t feel it working on Forza, I can feel it on other games but not Forza yet. I tried to find any setting for it but no luck. Maybe it will come in the next update.
I always had Vibrations turned down, never used it.
I played yesterday and the cars felt as detailed as before. I use a Fanatec DD on XBOX.
Maybe T10 is updating the default settings for those that didn’t tune their wheel.
Here are my FFB SETTINGS FOR FANATEC PODIUM DD. Wheelbase SETTINGS. SEN 1080| FFB 35-40| FORCE FEEDBACK SCALE PEAK| NDP 15| NFR OFF| NIN OFF| INT OFF| FEI 100| BLI 25-30| MPS AUTO| BRF 25||| Ingame vibration intensity 100| Steering alignment 100| Mechanical caster scale 100| Pneumatic caster scale 140| Asphalt feel scale 120| Load sensitivity 50| Wheel damping scale 100| Central spring scaling 100| Dynamic damping behavior 50| Steering sensitivity 50| Steering linearity 50|… Yesterday I tested some cars that were previously undrivable with a steering wheel, after the update the cars felt noticeably better. My FFB SETTINGS so everyone can try it out.
Interesting observations. I haven’t noticed changes to FFB yet (I need to play more) but LEDs on my Logitech G29 started working after Update 10 so T10 definitely did tinker with steering wheels
And as for undocumented changes, maybe we should “borrow” the tradition from GTPlanet forums where a thread for undocumented changes is created after each GT7 update
Hi guys. You can still adjust the vibrations. It’s greyed out. But you can still adjust it, I’ve tried it. It’s greyed out on my dd1 too. But I can still adjust it, you just have to try it and it will work. In any case, the grip level has increased, an example car is a Porsche 924 GTS Carrera 1980, I know this car from Project Cars 2 and I really liked it there, so I tried the car in FM 23, it was a disappointment, very little grip on the rear axle, unannounced loss of grip. But now things are completely different, the car now has an extremely high level of grip on the rear axle and it clearly announces itself when it breaks out. So SOMETHING MUST HAVE CHANGED TO THE FFB WITH UPDATE 10, otherwise I can’t explain the Porsche.
