Festival Playlist events and rewards June 8-15 (Winter S21)

Tours always annoy me a bit. The idea is good but most of the time there’s no racing as the ai is nowhere and the other human players are in cars that aren’t good enough. Last night was typical, only one other in a tuned car and it looked like a road tune which wasn’t much good for the CC races we were in. Players just end up leaving and it is just an unsatisfying experience.

stock options

trial “Bucking Broncos” – BMW M3 ‘08 (got past 3 AI early then team-killed; beat 5 in race 2)

speed zone “El Gancho” – Hoonigan RS200 (easy; 89.43mph)

trail blazer “Festival Descend” – Hoonigan RS200 (not too hard; 29.102s)

championship “Tropic Like It’s Hot” – Ford Raptor ‘11 (111; fairly easy/bit tricky/easy)

championship “Ramble Scramble” – Audi TTS (easy wins)

RA danger sign “Palm Forest” – Hoonicorn (easy; 398.47m)

RA championship “Letting Off Steam” – #1107 VW Bug (fairly easy wins)

Code works. Taking it for a spin.
Good for 3rd and 3rd. An x-class was second place both times, with a SD-450 in first on the trail and a FJ40 on the circuit.

I sadly do agree. While I do love it, the fact that it cannot be turned into a ‘slammed’ truck is a huge bummer.

There’s a sizeable community of ours that legitimately want to see the ability to make custom muscle trucks. Same with the F-150 last week.

Little trivia: In Mexico, the C/K variants were marketed as the Cheyenne.

You can replace the word “Tours” with “Trials” in this sentence nowadays and, sadly, it’s accurate. The drivatars this week are appalling. I’ve been trying various cars and every single trial has been 2-0. There’s no punishment or deterrent for human players who drive badly because the team will still win anyway. A shame as it was such a good feature in FH4.

Super 7: Super Wheelspin

The BMW Series M Coupe performed excellently in the Bucking Broncos Trial. The five I’ve raced in has lots of pileups in the initial laps; the M Coupe always finished on the podium.

***** However, all 5 events QUIT after the initial event.
NEVER connects to SECOND/THIRD EVENTS* *****
FRUSTRATED.

A few trial options for people looking for slightly different options:

Caddy Limo - 166 644 983: AMS Carver’s FWD powerbuild. Run the trial in style in this beast. Handling is surprisingly good but will require some throttle control and has usual slow FWD launch, so you will have to pick your way through the field. More suited to sprints but should still do sub 59 at Mulegé in clean air.

2021 RS6 Avant - 243 882 248: A Grandma Driving tune for this one. Very smooth handling makes it a great option for these courses.

Q60 Concept - 638 842 222: Rocklxd widebody build. Fastest time yet at Mulegé in the trial with a 3.05 in this.

Seems to be a bug that happens every so often. You need to do a complete re-start and it should work fine then.

OMG the drunkatars are HORRIBLE this week! Sorry everyone I have been traveling all week and just got home late yesterday afternoon (pacific time). Working on my tunes now. I know it’s really late in the game but I got some good stuff.

Finding those Armadillo’s in the scrub was a bit annoying.

Chevy K10 is solid. B700 tune for me.

@BruskLawyer6315 , these things are the most annoying things to me for having to put up with in a “RACING GAME”. I use the Horizon Solo rinse and repeat once I find a couple of items.

I just don’t know why they don’t integrate these tasks into races. During a specific race you have to do a specific task. Like smash something, or reach a speed (through a special zone), or hit a top speed (through a trap) or a specific distance (over a jump). All these tasks during special “PR” races. Then FH5 becomes an actual racing game.

Festival Playlist Tunes June 8th- June 15th (Winter S21)
By now most of you have probably run your events for this week my apologies for the lateness on these tune. I was out of town all week. That said, I’m very happy with the tunes below. As always feel free to hit me up with what you liked and what could’ve been better!
Seasonal Tuning method

  1. I always go for a stock look - wheels, rim sizes and aero are only changed if it is absolutely necessary for handling and stability.
  2. Tunes are always tuned to max performance with max handling.
  3. All cars tuned vs. Unbeatable AI on championship tracks in seasonal weather. Tunes are then baseline ran in Rivals.
I again want to thank everyone for the downloads, follows, comments and likes! Remember feedback is important! I like hearing any and all comments on these tunes. There is no “bad” comments. You guys have been awesome with your support.

As mentioned before the drunkatars out did themselves this week. Flat out turning completely sideways on the straightaways! Often times multiple cars. It’s basically impossible to get through them clean.

That’s said my Infiniti was up for the challenge.

Agreed.
I think these tasks have come close to my most disliked playlist events yet.
Annoying and pointless challenges.
This weeks one the most annoying of them so far…

I also came up with a really nice tune for the 2021 M4. Literally everyone has this car as it has been given to every player in the game. Had a fun duel with a wide body Infiniti. I LOVE the turn in this car has. It has so much front end bite that it drives like a RWD car.
