+1 for the run up to do the speed zone. Took me about 5 attempts and had to cut a few corners. Started my run up from up in the hills
I used the GMC Jimmy from last week to do the speed zone and the championship, using el barto Inc tune.
When will lanters start to show up ? Do we really need to play at new years to get those accolades and if so, whos new year ?

A couple of championships for autoshow cars and a speed zone to go, then it’s all complete except daily challenges this week.
People keep getting caught out on the first race of the Trial, early on on the sharp right hander. It seems to catch a lot of people out.
Just when I was starting to enjoy this new playlist, thinking I was a little harsh in my criticism of the game, NOPE! I run through all the events for the '92 Cosworth just to have the game crash on me resetting all the progress, when all I needed was 2 stars to complete everything. My criticism is fair!
Something about not being able to see it, much less how sharp it is… even the racing line practically disappears in the fog.
Agree with that. I couldn’t see it the first time, second time I slowed enough to take it but got punted off by others smashing into me at full pelt. Only safe (from other drivers) line is on the right.
I think another chunk of the problem is the Hoonigan cars, they seem to lose all adhesion to the road as soon as you tap the brakes when travelling at race speeds. Even setups with improved grip and braking don’t seem to help.
Somthing is broken somewhere…
It showed Horizon-Tour completed same as other weeks but 2 times today and between it showed “Win 3 Dirt Events Completed” there is nothing in Daily or Weekly wich fits description.
And it showed me this with old playlist this morning already after entering+leaving some streetrace
That happens when connection is lost, it reverts to a default series.

Yeah found it in OfflinePlaylist but wasn’t doing any DirtEvent. Wasn’t even doing the Streetevent all i did was enter event and leave

This Trial will make you sweat blood and tears if you don’t come prepared. First race in the fog, ouch.
As for the rest, notice that, in the C600 championship, the first race is Las Dunas, which is a descent along the volcano. Bring a car with tall gears.
The reward for the trial is a bit disappointing - really the Hoonigan Cossie?`The one that everybody gets for free after almost one hour gameplay now as a reward in week 4 of season 2? Or didn’t get the new player that not for free for finishing the first showrace anymore?
BTW I give up at the trial after the fourth attempt of playing. Not to mention that I could not join the server three times before, but every trial I was kicked from other players out of checkpoints several times. Especially at that first race with it’s 90 degree corner where nobody than me seems to brake.
I got enough points for the peel so no trial for me this week. In my races the AI was truely unbeatable and take the corners like on rails, don’t even had to brake at the 90 degree corner in the first race…

Used the Porsche which was fine at low speeds but understeered like nobodies business on medium/high-speed turns so you have to slow down which loses so much time; the “Cossie” with the right tune is better but still has issues. The RS1800, on the other hand, was excellent at both low and high speeds, even braking…the tune (recommended by someone I race with), I can’t remember offhand but it was the 2nd entry on the tunes list yesterday…name was something like “Seasonal EZ” or some such
Yeah I agree on the prize even a paltry amount of credits would have been more useful, anyone eligible for the Trial already has the Cossie unless they got rid of it for some strange reason.
Bit of luck with the cars the AI uses will be very helpful this week, the Focus has such a low top speed that even with nonsense AI it’s an easy opponent, I was fortunate enough to have 2 in my Trial earlier and they really help once you get to the 150mph+ sections.
The real prize is the Aventador.

Totally agree on the prize vs effort. Why not have the Porsche or RS200 as the reward?
Any suggestions for the speed zone seasonal? I’m going nuts trying to do this. Tried three different vehicles and multiple tunes, always with a run up to start, from both sides and I can’t get over 80mph.
I did it going downhill in the Jimmy. Started on the grass heading for the straight rather than following the road around the corner.
