Festival Playlist events and rewards Dec. 15-22 (Autumn S15)

Agree that 32s doable. PB was better than that.
I don’t like grinding for these, it’s the run up and path.

Great times both, but main point I was making is that a time in high 30’s is 25-30s off the “best”.

A 40s time is probably possible. Anything above that I seriously doubt, and anything above that is rare.

A 65s time when that is instantaneous is not possible.
Anything above 50s is not believable.

I enjoyed making/doing these events since FH3. But from a pure TSD standpoint, 200mph average is probably max.

I’m slothful, so I haven’t worked the distance out for this.
250-300mph CC is NOT believable.

The problem with the 3 star events and the game philosophy in general is PGG wants the game to be totally inclusive to all players. But the 3 star system and the playlist in general is built towards high level players only.

If they want the game to be inclusive of all players the time for a 3 star event would change with the difficulty level a player sets according to their abilities within the game.

This trailblazer on this playlist I can’t break 24 seconds on. Car doesn’t matter. Rimac, Hoonigan RS. 25 is my physical limit.

And that’s the way it is. A group of us did a little experiment back on FM7 at Lime Rock Raceway. Same car, three different drivers. We tried besting our times. With different builds/tunes. One guy tried and succeeded at learning to change over to Manuel. Small gains were made in track times but what we proved was that no matter what, there is a point at which a person, any person, has reached their peak performance.

So if the game Studios want to make a game inclusive for all, they need to make the challenges variable to all levels. The mentality just can’t go with the trite useless line, “Oh, I did it, it’s easy”. Yeah, it might have been easy for player X. But for the other players it’s not that easy, or never will be that easy.

Extra Special was super difficult. I had to use lambo SVJ with Wahnsinn by Wolfgang Petry playing in background on repeat.

That is generally me with S2 Rivals times on probably 3/4 of the tracks. I get excited when i get real close to times set by Zip, Jezza and co but accept my place in this world when they consistently smash top times of which i can only get within several seconds of. Doesn’t matter how much i try, I’ve reached my peak. Happy to be among and near some of the best but i know my limit and accept it with humility.

I can say, that ftom Forza 1 until now some times for me have vastly improved. Others, not so much. There’s a reason the majority of professional race car drivers retire shortly after reaching age 40. Since crossing the 60 threshold I don’t even bother trying to push the S2 and X cars. Just don’t have the reflexes for those anymore. Only on the lower settings with these.

Wanted to go with Centenario for that championship as it’s a safe choice, but I tuned the Italdesign Zerouno without aero upgrades since I’ve haven’t ever used it and pretty much breezed through it.

A short clip of that first wet race in the Zerouno passing the AI easily.

Here is the 3 tunes I used. I love “downgrading” cars. Sometimes a downgrade provides a nice surprise. Here I downgraded the Senna and it’s a blast and extremely fast. Might want to go with the SVJ for the the first wet race. I also downgraded the SF90. No aero on rally tires and it’s a rocket!

Having the first two cars disappear into the distance in every race in the Audi S1 “win four dirt scrambles” does not inspire fun.

I just cheat in the Weeklies because it’s tedious and just want to get it over with as soon as possible.
Drop the difficulty down to a low value and finish them off in one.

Wow, thanks again my friend! Great support. Got me 94 more likes for my tunes. Only 300 more to go! Lol.

Actually, I love building and tuning in this game. I’ll never quit. Haha.

Extra extra special tunes for extra special coming up.

Heh, that senna on snow tires? I’ve been fooling around with a de-tune on that thing myself.

No drags but it actually drives and behaves itself. The Senna has enough mechanical grip that it’s actually a blast to drive on drags. Give it a run and tell me how you like it.

The Senna has tremendous aero with a full double diffuser taken from F1 tech that one year it was allowed.

Heh all,

My “extra special” championship cars are up. All tunes are called “easy seasonal” again;

2016 Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce

2018 mclaren senna

2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster

Tips: for the pagani and the senna: For all Manual + clutch users, switch to manual. You’ll shift faster.

All cars have 220 mph TS at least. Since these courses are road courses, I went with full aero where possible. The senna has drags but also full aero. As is known, it has great mechanical grip so de-tuned drag tires build is actually quite decent.

Pagani is probably best of the bunch. Don’t be fooled by the fact it has rally tires. Rally tires are META for most road/street race builds for the exception of some pretty phenomenal grip builds with drags. Horizon tire physics at its finest.….but hey, it works.

Festival Playlist Tunes Dec. 15-22 (Autumn S15)

The Trial | Saving the Pennies | (A800) Value <100,000 CR

Mitsubishi Eclipse Share Code: 151-258-811

What a nice surprise this car is. Completely dominated the trial with this tune. Took it online and starting winning there too. This thing is on par with the Shelby Daytona for dirt tunes.

Danger Sign | Desert Dunes | (S2 998) Anything Goes | 1509.2 feet

Jesko Share Code: 243-641-127

Speed Trap | Pyramid of the Sun | (S2 998) Anything Goes | 190.0 feet

Trail Blazer | Granjas | (S2 998) Anything Goes | 32 seconds

Jesko Share Code: 243-641-127

Same Jesko tune for all 3 challenges. This tune got the job relatively easy. Had to rewind a couple of time for the speed trap.

Championship | Boot Full of Presents | Cross Country Racing | (S1 900) Modern

2019 Macan Share Code: 225-269-495

Good solid tune that just works

Championship | Extra Special | Road Racing | (S1 900) Hypercars

Here is a couple of excellent “downgrade” cars from S2 to S1 that work really well.

First up is the Senna on drag tires. It races well it completely dominated this seasonal. The first wet race you may want to go with the SVJ.

McLaren Senna

Share Code: 131-873-261

2020 Ferrari SF90

Share Code: 154-408-231

1,000+ HP and no aero. Do I have your attention? This tune will definitely get it. It’s extremely drivable and a fast very capable car.

2018 Aventador SVJ

Share Code: 917-755-254

Solid all around performer. It’s fast but not nearly as much fun as the Senna or SF90.

Championship | Papa Noel | Street Racing | (A800) Retro Supercars

Ferrari F50 Share Code: 146-669-336

Fast RWD tune. Drive it right and this tune is winner. It excels on street races.

The Rimac is one of the best things about FH5. Legend.

Had a smooth flight and the speed trap was pretty simple. Even saw others taking the correct route. There was someone else at the jump. Looked like they got it too, but I was already burning rubber to the trailblazer. 20 points will do for me. :+1: My garage already feels swollen and these dupes won’t make nice gifts

Just tried the PR stunts, tuned an aeroless Sesto FE with rally tires and offroad springs.

Speed trap just came from the top round about and went street off road towards it, it’s the bumps causing me to lose speed but the final hump sent me flying through the air with this light car and cleared it with 319.78km/h.

Trailblazer wasn’t as hard as I though, there’s a couple of straight road stretches you need to aim for including a bridge. Drove straight towards the destination over them and cleared with 36.5s left.

Failed danger sign short of 27km on it though because it didn’t have enough top speed so I need to try another car.

She’s the one. Or 2…
