Hmm, first attempt at trial disconnected after an easy (but slow) team win at Cathedral. Back to the “fun” of avoiding getting rammed at the tightest course on the map again then.

I thought the hunt had vantage in the title?

“Vantage point” I see it in the op

Trial was pretty bad I would agree. On top of the already awful-looking R32.
One of my teammates retaliated for no reason… Hilarious.

Oh, so it’s just the usual translation issue. In German the title doesn’t give a hint, just description regarding Aston.

Edit: Also the Horizon Open asks for any Hoonigan in German, didn’t count of course. Explains why others used classic muscle cars and rammed their way through the dirt.

Ah, I can see that getting annoying :disappointed:

Does the game use a timer as a factor when triggering a missed checkpoint countdown? In the EventLab at the airport, I was almost able to get to the top of the parking deck and drop down the elevator shaft but got the prompt and it reset back onto the ground level track.

I’m simply not understanding who thinks that it’s a good idea to send some S1 Track Toys on a track that’s to a relevant part made out of sand and covered by brush? If it was the creator then I’ve to tell him/her that’s a bad choice. That said it’s still his/her decision.

What I really can’t wrap my head around is how such a creation can make it into the weeklies? Who ever at PGG (and I’m directly looking at the female senior game designer here that seems to be picking these) thought that’s a good selection at least needs to rethink how to approach this part in my opinion.

Well, there was at least one weekly featured event lab in the past that “upped” the PI class (and maybe vehicle type) over the creator’s original and made a mad mess of it. Sounds like maybe more of the same.

I suspect they use some random generator to pick the featured event labs and then another set of random generators (heavily weighted to high PI) to pick the vehicles for it totally ignoring the original settings.

They borrow the manatee tank from Family Guy.

I guess I know which one you mean. Presumably the one with the UTVs at that “stuntpark” where the AI was so unable it didn’t even finished a lap because it fell of the track and got permanently reset. If so…yes, that’s a prime example.

IIRC it was a female senior game designer that said she’s picking them “by hand” in one of their streams but I can be wrong here.

So despite my better judgment, I couldn’t help giving the trial a go. Didn’t bother with any special liveries this time & used a rental :joy:
There were only 4 of us in the group & I drove as courteous as possible through Cathedral. One individual that had stickers all over their car, decided they didn’t like being passed on the strait away so they decided to push me into the car grabber wall on turn one so hard it ghosted the car. Ok, no problem, hit record, finish last.
Race 2- same individual in front of me beating up another teammate until lap 2 when their overzealous nature slams them into the wall at the 2nd 90 so I politely sidled right by & they remained about 10 car lengths behind for the remainder of the race. I still only finished 4th on that one but oh the karma was such a sweet reward  :alien:

Liking the playlist this week. @PassionWagon69 think you will like the trial tune this week. It’s definitely a bit more challenging as the window is tight on this car. I didn’t bog it down with oversized heavy rims. I didn’t go with drags or anything on the tire. Just focused on handling.

Everything about this game is awesome. I especially love the R32 Skyline car model.:metal:

Looking forward to giving it a try @TonyKartRcr - Will let you know how it goes.

If you need a livery you know where to look. I’ve a Calsonic and a Zexel one up. The first also fits the bodykit.

/edit: Just gifted the one I used for the trial.

Comes with two 1st places on the clock.

Honestly don’t know what’s wrong with those kind of people.

After 4 1/2 years of Trials my tolerance level for it is at zero now, if PG don’t care enough to address it I will be doing the next best thing and telling these idiots what I think of them afterwards, every single time.

The ghosted start from Open is such an easy fix to eliminate the majority of it yet PG evidently either bury their heads in the sand over how stupid a chunk of their game’s player base is…

Or rather alarmingly think it should be part and parcel of the experience, those are the only 2 possibilities I can think of for why it isn’t used in Trials.

They also continually pick courses like Cathedral and Plaza knowing that it’s impossible to avoid the carnage early on when those tracks are used.

I agree early ghosting is the sensible way to deal with this.

After a lifetime of driving 1st person in games i’ve swapped to chase cam for the last month or so.Whilst i haven’t quite got the hang of it yet,one thing i know for sure now is who is merely misjudging corners and who is actively trying to take me out.If the latter, they better be good,or at least faster than me

It’s just sad that you even have to be for ghosting or resort to what PentEd is alluding to!

That said my two races went quite well. The other players noticed quite early that I’ll pull the cart out of the dirt with blocking the AI to make them gain places and did just let me drive.

Dont worry,i use a wheel so there’s not really much i can do,without the likelyhood of me coming off worse  It just means i know for sure when something is premedidated rather just bad driving/mistake;which was almost always impossible for me to tell with any degree of certainty when driving 1st person. The worse type are fortunately still relatively rare
