Ferrari Testarossa Koenig Specials Competition Bodykit

This is one of the more interesting Bodykits for the Classic Ferrari’s and by an interesting company too, Koenig Specials was a German Tuning company specialising particularly in very high end cars during the 80’s and 90’s.

The biggest thing with Koenig was that not only could you get a rather Extravagant Bodykit which drew lots of attention but you could also get some pretty insane performance modifications done too.

The Car Pictured is a 1987 Ferrari Testarossa with the Koenig Bodykit and a modified Twin-Turbo F12 producing around 790hp, officially Koenig referred to this package as the Ferrari 512 Koenig Competition.

The Engine Modifications are of course of no point in this Suggestion but the Company itself was very well-rounded when it came to modifying Ferrari’s and they became an icon in the scene during the 80’s.

This Bodykit is intended to somewhat replicate the appearance of the Ferrari F40/F40C with the Removal of Pop-Up Headlights, the addition of the Wing and general Sloping of the Bodylines.

There were various versions of the Bodykit Available and under Different Guises including a Convertible Spider.

I don’t think the Ferrari Licensing Department would be too pleased with this as a Proposition but would be extremely interesting nonetheless.

This is the 1987 Ferrari Testarossa Koenig Competition “Evolution II” variant of the Bodykit with some differences.

This particular Model was available with a heavily modified engine (again with a Twin-Turbo Setup) which was claimed to produce around 1000hp.

The influence of the F40C can be seen a bit more from the front here.
