Ferrari 410 Superamerica by Ghia

1956 Ferrari Superamerica Ghia

Introduction: The Ferrari 410 Superamerica’s engine was first presented on the chassis of the 375 America at the Paris Motor Show in October 1955. The complete car, however, was unveiled at the Brussels Motor Show in 1956.

Design: The bodywork was initially designed by Pinin Farina, but Carrozzeria Ghia also developed their own version, which was quite distinctive. The Ghia-designed body featured garish fins and a submarine-like profile, making it very unique.

Engine: The car was powered by a V12 engine with a total displacement of 4962.96 cc and could produce a maximum power of 335 bhp at 6000 rpm. It had a top speed of 162 mp/h.

Chassis: The 410 Superamerica continued the tradition of the Ferrari 375 America with a 2800 mm wheelbase.

Exclusivity: The Ghia body design was considered too avant-garde for the time, resulting in only a few cars being made with this body style.
