Why is this car such a piece of crap in S class??? I’ve been tuning this thing for months, trying different setups. Has anybody had any success with actually making this car competitive in S class? As soon as people bust out the Vipers and F50s this car just gets left in the dust. No matter what I do, the back end on this car is absolutely determined to do whatever the hell it wants to. I’d love to hear from people who have managed to make this car competitive.
Maybe your tuning is letting you down but regardless this is a slow car. You’ll have to be a considerably better driver than those using vipers and F50 if you want to beat them with this car. If you must use it, it’ll probably be at its best on tracks with long higher speed corners like nordshleife, Watkins etc but even then it won’t exactly cover itself in glory.
That’s what really bothers me about this game…you can have two cars that are both “S800”, and yet, some cars get left completely behind in the dust. I just think that’s ridiculous. To me, that’s an indication that the system they developed for balancing game play simply is not working as intended.
Every car should have its strength and weakness, but no car should be 8 seconds faster than another car in the same class.
Out of interest I built a 458 Italia for S class and found it actually quite competitive.
Tune is shared if you want to try.
The 458 engine is such a hunk of garbage.
Haha not exactly I’m pretty sure when the 458 Italia was released it was voted best performance engine and best engine above 4-litres of the year.
Ha i share the same sentiments.
I haven’t played the game since the end of last year but i can tell you certain cars that i’ve driven in the game are out of whack out the gate. FM6’s 458 Italia drives NOTHING like the one in FM4. This is to say that the FM4 model to me, drove like you would expect a well sorted out mid engine car like the 458 to drive.
Take that car on the alps on the reverse layout with the big high speed jump (forgot the name of the specific layout). The front of the car will immediately take a dive with its ass up in the air once you go over the jump then downhill. Either Turn10 applied ridiculous/unrealistic amounts of downforce to the front of the car OR they have accidentally reversed the weight distribution balance. The rear axle of the car actually feels light and nervous through turns, and not in the way that a lotus Elise is… it’s hard to put it in words since i dont have access to the game right now. But yeah off the top of my head they blew it on the 458 and the carrera GT physics.
I can only repeat myself: cars in Forza are not simulated on an individual level rather than on car type level. I.e. all cars of the same car type (much similar to division) run on the same simulated car model. This applies also to the 458 which is an Exotic GT car that runs on the same simulated car model like all other Exotic GT cars.
Check the shared 458 tune on my storefront and tell me that it drives like [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D].
I’ve got to completely agree with fifty inch here I’ve tried his tune and also done up one of my own and both are awesome to drive on alps stadplatz gets air up the hill and lands fine every time slight oversteer is easily countered with a tad of brake and counter steer but you get used to driving around it pretty quick and try any exotic gt car like fifty inch said with the default forza settings and the majority all feel terrible especially the carrera gt but it can be tuned out.
Hi I am struggling to do the Fortune Island clue number 2 and it says to use a 458 Italia car and I have been struggling for 3 days to beat this clue but no where cant even reach a 1 star to beat it so that I can move on. What can I do I am stink in racing but I love this game since it came out on Xbox and Xbox360 I never had issues with drifting on this game but as it turns out this Xbox One is more tricky to do the drifting help I am a rookie I never do hard level on racing but I like to be able to move on and finally get the treasure to that clue 2 any Idea how to beat it in a dummy way?
