February DLC: Alpinestars Car Pack

I agree that the DP car gets way more exciting if they add the Corvette DP too. Plus Corvette DPs sound amazing so if that were added with correct sound I’d be stoked!

2 out of 7. not too bad compared to the last pack.

1992 Alfa Romeo Milano Quadrifoglio Verde
2015 Ford #02 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley Mk XXVI Daytona Prototype
1990 Mercury #15 Whistler Radar Cougar XR-7
2005 Pontiac Aztek
1996 Subaru SVX
1967 Sunbeam Tiger
1974 Toyota Corolla SR5

I know that most of y’all have posted this in one way or another (I just reordered it for Manuf. because OCD) but I would like to give my first impressions on the new cars.

1992 Alfa Romeo Milano Quadrifoglio Verde=> Can’t complain her because Alfa Romeo’s one of my favorite manufacturers in the game and I think that this (as well as all the other cars) is new to the Forza Series so hats off right there.

2015 Ford #02 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley Mk XXVI Daytona Prototype=> OH MAN! I’m hyped about this car. I think I might not have realized it before but now that this Daytona Prototype is in the game I can’t wait to start tuning and testing and driving this one for a LONG time.

1990 Mercury #15 Whistler Radar Cougar XR-7=> YES YES YES YES!!! I am ecstatic to see another Mercury in the game because to be honest I haven’t messed around with the other Mercury’s as much at this point in time but I believe this car will spark my interest in it or at the very least get me up to Affinity 25 like the Lancia #31 did.

2005 Pontiac Aztek=>…Well now, this is quite the polarizing car and I don’t blame you guys for a moment because I have been intrigued by this car ever since I heard about it mostly by its unique body and style. I think I might enjoy this car and hopefully be able to fix that launch (btw well played Turn10) but I’ll have to wait and see.

1996 Subaru SVX=> Interesting looking car considering when I think of Subaru I think of the Impreza Sti’s much like how the Lamborghini Jalpa stands out against its supercar kin. Not completely sure here on this one but who knows it might be a forgotten gem that will be a treat to drive?

1967 Sunbeam Tiger=> Reminds me of the Austin-Healey from I think FM4 with its small stature that will probably be very fun to drive with its agility.

1974 Toyota Corolla SR5=> Reminds me a bit of the Holden Torana. Probably will be fun to drive like the Torana and if its even a portion as good as it it will definitely be one of my favorites to drive for its respective manufacturer.

Overall, I can understand that you guys might be a bit disappointed with this pack, but I think that this pack could have some great potential especially since I’m fairly certain they’re all brand-new to the Forza Series.

Regardless, as I have the Season Pass I will be certain to download this pack from the marketplace tomorrow after school and probably testing 'em out (if I’m not too caught up if working on my Tune Catalogue or racing Japanese Street Kings).

This is my favourite pack so far and just sealed the deal for me to buy the car pass!

2015 Ford #02 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley Mk XXVI Daytona Prototype - Nice looking prototype, looks like a fun drive.

1990 Mercury #15 Whistler Radar Cougar XR-7 - Another fantastic IMSA racer to drive, and this one is possibly my favourite yet!

1967 Sunbeam Tiger - Brilliant to have another classic British roadster in the game!

2005 Pontiac Aztek - While not the best car for racing, I will sure have some fun with this one!

1992 Alfa Romeo Milano Quadrifoglio Verde - More Alfa’s is never a bad thing. The Milano has a great design and i’m looking forward to trying it.

1974 Toyota Corolla SR5 - Classic Japanese cars are awesome. Glad we have another one to choose from!

1996 Subaru SVX - This for me is the star of the pack. I absolutely adore the SVX (and the earlier XT model), and am ecstatic to have this in game!

Fantastic job T10!

I will enjoy, finally, having a Dayton Prototype. If The Riley DP can perform as well as the 787B then it will be a bonus. It didn’t do very well last year but it did win the Rolex24. We will see how Turn 10 gives it love or not.

It will be fun to drive the other cars in the pack but I will put about 1000 miles on the Ganassi DP. So happy with Forza 6 vehicle line up.

Booooooooring.

You know what, I think I kinda find most of this pack dreadful. Except for the SVX.

The other cars have to be even worse than in the November pack IMO. And if you ask me, this actually might be an unforgettably draconian bummer. And a Pontiak Aztek? That’s just terrible.

This pack is kinda awful honestly, but the Aztek portrayed as the “halo car” of the pack was quite funny.

Bang on average pack, nothing too exciting.

Although I’m getting pretty bored of the early IMSA GT cars.

Same, I’m sure the Americans would like them as they grew up watching or learning about these cars, but as somebody from Europe they don’t appeal to me all that much. I’m more interested in the Group C and Formula 1 cars of that time but I understand that Turn 10 doesn’t make packs to appeal to me specifically.

I more on the opposite side, I despite anything with Formula 1 ( just find it boring), and would rather have more GT cars like the IMSA series, WEC, and so on. But like you said they don’t make the game for one person, some will always be disappointed in some way or another.

I didn’t even think about that as an option in my last post. Makes sense that people in other countries might not be so excited about a regional touring car series from another region.

Pretty much. I’m only 20 so A) it’s before I even existed and B) I’m from England and the only series I grew up watching were WRC and F1.

I guess these IMSA GTP/GTO/GTU got a lot of young Americans interested in racing, so hold nostalgic value. I guess its their equivalent of what Super Tourers, 90’s GT1 and for those slightly older group C and B was for us in UK/Europe.

Wow! Really? I love those cars! Honestly nothing wrong with you not liking them though… I have really enjoyed every pack so far. When game like RaceRoom on PC (which i love btw…) charges almost the same amount for 1 car as Turn10 does for 7 then i guess that’s where i get my objectivity from… lol.

Exept the two racecar… This is a Joke !

Where is the Ford GT GTLM ? The Coyote Corvette DP, new GTLM ?

And the Porsche Pack ?..

Porsche pack probably won’t be out until after the car pass is up…just like in every other case where we had a Porsche pack.

I want to create a poll with the options being:

I was born before 1985 and I’m excited about the Cougar
I was born after 1985 and I’m excited about the Cougar
I was born before 1985 and I’m not excited about the Cougar
I was born after 1985 and I’m not excited about the Cougar.

I think all votes would fall under 1 and 4. That’s the only way I can comprehend those that aren’t excited about the Cougar.
