First off. New year’s resolution: post more on the forums. I really need to.
Back on topic. Been a while since I posted a paint here, so I thought I’d share my latest creation in the paint booth. I love the anime called ‘‘Sakurasou no pet na kanojo’’, for the story and the drawing. Love it so much I decided to try and make what I think is my best itasha up to now. Really had fun making this, the girl on the car is an artist in the series, so I tried to make the paint colorful and ‘‘sort of artsy’’. Was fun painting a full body vinyl for once, I rarely do that. Chose the Lexus because it’s one of the few cars that doesn’t screw the vinyl up much when you want to make it go from the bonnet to the front bumper, and a bit on the left side. Obviously, the transiction isn’t perfect, had to make some corrections, but I’m quite proud of the result, I really love it. Also messed up with the two tone paint on the wheels, so that they look both purple and green. The base paint (as you can see from the side mirrors) is chrome purple, so that if a crash happens, the scratches will look purple instead of grey (forgive me for this, but I think it’s a nice touch ahahhahaha).
I’d love to hear opinions and get some feedback on this, want to know what other painters think of it.
