Salutations. I’ve been making liveries in racing games for god knows how long, I’d say since PS2 NFS titles, especially Pro Street and Carbon. Been playing racing games since 2006.
Now I’ve started my journey in Forza games and it’s quite something I’d say.
Here I will share my crafts that are mainly a mix of realistic WRC/Stock car liveries and Need For Speed type of thing. Something like that Pro Streets grip king BMW mixed up with Solbergs rally car type of thing. Feel free to drop suggestions and feedback down below, tips and tricks would also help out a lot because like I said, I am new to Forza!
First liveries I made in Horizon while learning the basics of the system. It’s nothing special, but has gotten a few dozen downloads already.
Why Abarath Spider? Because I love it’s handling. I’ve made 6 tunes for it, 3 offroad builds, C, B and A class and 3 street builds; respectively C, B and A class too.
The next car I was working on was the Ford Raptor. A really great heavyweight. With my tunes I’ve been beating Unbeatable drivatars (who in my opinion are actually way too easy) since the first day in the game.
Recently worked on two more heavyweights - Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and RAM Power Wagon. Both have great handling offroad, especially the Power Wagon but building them for street circuits and general asphalt races was a little tricky due to their heavy tendency to understeer on corner entries and exits. Especially the Rubicon; that thing had to get reworked from top to bottom to eliminate corner entry understeer and exit oversteer. I’d say it’s due to it’s short wheelbase and AWD, even though swapping to RWD didn’t help too much, but in the end they both became tamed beasts.
This is where I already became somewhat familiar with mask shapes and general creator basics. Power Wagon came out quite good I’d say, especially the Autumn Monster livery. Don’t ask how much time those leaves took.
Spent a dozen hours making countless livery groups in the editor and the first one that I made from some of my own stickers is this… 1974 Celica Castrol Racing.
Definitely one of my favourite rally car builds so far in the game. C/B class is the sweet spot for this one.
Something more abstract and something very similiar to what I used to paint back in the day in NFS games.
Really love how the faded colors came out, probably going to use this technique a lot now.
Veloster and Civic are one of my latest works. Kinda switched up from two liveries per car to one livery in multiple color schemes and I genuinely like this more. Liveries also became more racing themed and less abstract.
Hellcat racing, genuinely never seen these big bulls with racing liveries.
RX7. Two seperate builds . Offroad and tarmac.
Been making Gulf liveries for random cars that I pick up from the garage.
Simple but good looking.
Had to add this one up here. Caught some NFS type of stuff while testing my Dodge’s build.
Some racing liveries from the past month. Been busy a lot.
Classic paintjobs and liveries… Always been a fan of these. Can never go wrong with being simple and elegant.
