Dragon Roadster Series II (2005)

In 2005 former GM engineer John Chestnut wanted to live his dream of driving 50s and 60s era sports cars such as the Jaguar D Type and Lola T70. Although he didn’t have the funds to afford something of that caliber he did have intuition and a dream. He took a C4 corvette and stripped it for part to created the kit car known as the Dragon Roadster series II. Built to SCCA GT1 regulations in the space frame tube chassis and the structure only weighing 297lbs paired with an LS motor, this thing is a built among American sports cars. No final production numbers were ever shared although one did go up for auction at mecum
