I don’t mind it not saving the progress but having to sit through that intro video every time I want to play it is annoying as is having to reset the difficulty and controller settings.
Please, the whole video sequence lasts maybe 4 minutes. If it’s that painful for you to have to watch it again then go make yourself a snack and come back. Changing the difficulty and other settings takes 20 seconds max, more like 5 seconds if you’ve done it before and know exactly what you’re going to be changing.
Demos are typically released to help consumers get a feel of the game before deciding whether to buy the full version.,
A normal person would not expect it to save anything. They want your money, how else do you think the developers make these games ?
As demos go, i think its excellent and a definite improvement over the first. it amazes me how many consumers find nothing but negatives no matter what they are given.
If you want to save your progress, or dont want to watch the intro over and over, stop being a tightarse and buy the game when it is released.
I think a lot of you guys trying to defend this are confusing saving progress with carrying progress over to the full version. I don’t expect them to carry over my level, credits, or stats to the full game, but I was pretty irritated that when I loaded the demo up today to mess around where I left off a few days ago that I was sent back to an unskippable opening movie & the opening race again. And obviously it might not take forever to reconfigure the game to your preferred settings, it’s still an annoyance that it has to be done every time you load the demo.

I was a level 15 and was in the middle of getting into an online race. Suddenly my demo crashed back to the XBox home screen. I start it up again and my demo has now reset from the very beginning again.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this something that the devs put in so you can’t play but so many hours on the demo before resetting?
More like it doesn’t save progress. Because demo.

The demo does not save progress. Don’t worry, you will have to start all over once the actual game comes out so… no progress lost so to speak.
It was saving it for me. I played and stopped and played the demo since it’s come out. I was a level 15 and unlocked all the roads and knocked down 12 of the 17 signs.
Save or not, your progress in the demo does not translate into the full game.
So what happens if I deleted the demo after completing it…will I still get the free car in the full game? Or will I need to have the demo downloaded?
