The Evolution.

Another 1970 Dodge Charger Restomod.

This one is powered by the 6.2L HEMI V8 of the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon completed with a Supercharger.

RWD combined with a 6-Speed Manual Transmission pretty much makes it a wild animal but the set of Michelin Pilot Sport 2’s attempt to keep it under control.

In this form the engine produces 966hp (720kw) and with a weight of around 1450kg (3200lbs) this is a rocket in a straight line.

The entire body is Carbon Fibre which is why it’s able to save so much on such a large car and this also aids in reducing bodyroll and combined with a new Aluminium Floor, Steel Chassis and full Roll Cage this is a chassis perfectly suited to handle this power.

Thankfully handling hasn’t been neglected and the already mentioned Michelin Pilot Tires are aided by a set of 6 and 4 Piston 15-inch Drilled Brembo Brakes in the Front and Rear Respectively and a complete set of adjustable Penske 7500 Coilovers.

The Rims are also fittingly styled with a Pair of 19 and 20-inch HRE S101 Rims at the Front and Rear.

The Tantrum.

A very heavily modified 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Restomod.

Most of the body has been redone with Carbon Fibre Panels and Aluminium for stuff like the Grille, the taillights are pulled directly from a 2014 Challenger while all the bits like Mirrors were made in-house.

The engine is the interesting part though, the Hemi has been pulled out and replaced with a 9.0L Twin-Turbo V8 Crate Engine built by Mercury Racing (a Boat Racing Team) that can produce 1650hp.

The Car has been kept RWD with a 6-Speed manual meaning that it can get dicey on the acceleration even with 345 Tires on the back.

The Car itself was a One-Off that wasn’t made available to the Public.

I love this car. One of the best Charger restomods I’ve ever seen. Raw carbon fiber, HRE S104s, big brakes, and that ridiculous engine. Apparently the first application of a Mercury boat engine into a street car.

This company is known for this kind of thing. They have five or six different restomod chargers, most with Hellcat power and two with the 1000HP “Hellephant” crate engine. Their selection includes a mid-engine Hellcat-powered '68 Charger. They also built a BMW E9.

I only learned about this build after watching F9 for the second time.
