Series S…literally every single time. I just make sure I was at a good save point, and then go to the home screen and select quit.
Guess what happened when I tried to bypass the “applying upgrades” crash?
Clicked on “continue” and it took me to Spa, that’s the last race in the German Rivals event.
Quit out of the race to the main menu. Went back into the career, applied upgrades, screen froze. Relaunched game… I’m back at the previous track, Maple Valley!!!
Enough is enough. I’m putting the game down now. Weekend ruined.
I have this issue also if you leave it in suspended state and shut down xbox x and then later come back to game it will crash right away each time and restart the whole game so if you did pratice runs and ready to race, you will have to do pratice runs again each time. I am running xbox series x with the 1TB card
Having the same issue, literally cannot go out of the game or it will crash when I get back. Series X performance rt
I can’t even get to play. Crashes 5 seconds after I launch the game. Sometimes I get to the intro movie. But mainly well before that, at the graphic selection screen. I’ve tried all the usual stuff; re installing, reset XboxX fully, new game tag going off line. Microsoft and Forza have been useless. I tell them what I’ve tried and they come back with what I’ve already tried!!! 90 quid down the drain. Thing is, I love forza
Okay, this many crashes is a bit unusual. Do you have any external devices connected to your console? Do you have other games in your quick resume queue?
same issue here sometimes it works a lot of the time it does not
Still crashes after todays update when returning from stand by or Quick Resume. 
Okay, Quick Resume is working now. Don‘t know what they fixed (perhaps something on the server side). But I‘m happy now. Hopefully it does not return.

Does this issue still persist after recent updates? Would it be possible to provide a video of this in action?
Quick Resume with this game now appears to be working fine.
