I highly recommend you do not buy the Centenario. I bought the car thinking it would be the ultimate vehicle, and with mods, even better. But alas, it was terrible.
Max speed I got w/ best mods: 235mph
Pro’s:
AWD
Corners well
Con’s:
Slow - my 500k Ferrari can easily beat that speed.
Not worth the price
Kinda boring to drive
Super duper expensive
So, this leads me to the question, which car do I buy? I’m looking for a car that has good acceleration and a top speed of around 250mph+
It can cost at most 3 million, but since there is only one car I can think of that costs more than that (Veneno) I think it’s fair to say money isn’t an issue.
If you are doing circuit races top speed doesn’t really matter… You aren’t going to corner at 260 mph. But I also have a question, What car corners the best and can take corners at the highest speeds?
The Koenigsegg one:1 is probably the best car to have high speed cornering because of the wing, it’s expensive but it’s worth it…and if u want a good tune, use don joewon songs Goliath tune
The Centenario destroys a lot of cars. Top speed isn’t all it’s about. The car is amazing on corners, and can manage fairly well offroad for a hypercar as it’s awd. And its has nice acceleration coming out of turns and nice braking. It’s an awesome car. I love my Centenario.
Ditto! With the exception for some drift cars that I upgrade to S1 but I absolutely try to do the same. I try my absolute best not to upgrade S1 or below into S2.
Good question because I was pretty sure it can be made to break 260 mph. I’m not 100% sure about that, though, because I made my first Centenario an S2 class car for lower speed courses … given that it handles so well. This thread reminds me of another one I saw recently that called the Ferrari FXX K “garbage” because it “only” does 210ish. I’ll take that kind of “garbage” all day, any day.
But if you just have to have a 260 mph car, you can get a new Bugatti, an old Bugatti, pretty much any Koenigsegg … or, now that I think about it, almost any car that’s over 1000-1200hp when fully upgraded and tuned.
I hear ya. I don’t get angry at these folks, I actually feel bad for them. The “anything that isn’t a hypercar is trash” crowd are doing themselves a disservice at the end of the day, as they’re cutting themselves off from 3/4 of the cars in the game.
Supercars and hypercars are a barrel of fun, sure, but racing stock, middle-of-C-Class musclecars, B-class sedans and A-Class sportscars is just as much fun.
Why buy a Baskin Robbins, then ONLY eat chocolate?
My Centenario goes 271mph easily so you can’t blame the car being bad on you not being able to tune properly.
It’s the best all around car on the game, well that and the Koenigsegg One:1 - they have the best handling and grip of all cars. Both reach 265+ on the airport speed trap for me too. So acceleration and top speed is perfect
you should probably learn how to tune before you complain because the centenario does at least 260 fully upgraded by just lowering the final drive ratio
Top speed is the most pointless thing in this game unless you only plan to do Airfield showdown 24/7. There are only a few regular races that you’d need a top speed higher than 200mph.
Oh and if you’re indeed one of those “TOP SPEED OR TRASH” guy, get the Jaguar D-Type. Hypercars can’t even think of outrunning this monstrosity in the top speed department.
I’d much rather have a car which can maintain fast speeds whilst cornering than something that can do 250+ mph on a straight. When you’re doing events it’s unlikely you’ll reach 200.
Every car has its advantages and disadvantages. From playing the Centenario in the beginning of the game I would say it rocks for cornering as it felt very planted even with all asssits off. I even had to double check that all assists were indeed off.
