Hey I was wondering if you could form a convoy with drivatars in forza horizon 4. because im nervous that they won`t have that feature in horizon 4. can someone shed some light on this please?
Solo play with Drivatars in traffic is confirmed but I don’t know that we’ve seen something said specifically about Convoy with Drivatars.
They were asked about this in one of the streams, and they just started talking about online convoys. I wouldn’t be too hopeful for the old type.
On the plus side, whether they’re there or not at least there don’t appear to be achievements tied to them.

What was so hard about those achievements?
I’m not even sure I got them. I wouldn’t call them hard, just tedious and extremely annoying. Driving around with a convoy was irritating in itself, but doing it for a hundred miles or whatever is awful.

haha you saying that made me remember when I first used them and they kept hitting me, it was like tag or chicken and I wasn’t aware we were doing it. So I always got as far away as I could. Kinda felt like they were bounty hunters after a while. When I was bored I’d try to hide from the convoy.
That’s probably how it’ll turn out online too if you have the ghosted off and don’t know it or forgot about it heh. Online convey rolling you into the castle walls.
how do i activate convoy with AI, the horn doesn’t do it anymore. That sucks if it’s gone.

It is gone and it makes sense, if you think about it. You always have 11 other players around. If all of them formed a convoy with three AI cars you could get the frame rate to a crawl. It sucks that it is not available in Horizon Solo, but it’s probably a design decision so not to have mechanics in one mode but not the other.
It shouldn’t be gone if you’re playing Horizon Life in solo mode where other players are replaced by drivatars. What’s the point of removing this when it was in the previous game? I get that it’s not available while playing online because there are no drivatars roaming around but removing this feature from solo mode is totally unnecessary.

To be honest when this was announced I was stoked but didnt know that the convoy AI was removed, I dont recall if there was any mentions about it. Tried to honk my horn but no response from the AI so that made me question and researched it and happened to find this thread.
Sucks and truly disappointed that this feature was removed, I had a ball of a time messing with the convoy feature in 3, just taking me and 4 other AI and just sprint from one end of the highway to the other end seeing how well they can keep up or me trying to keep up. Was really fun I hope theyll put this back in as a thing for solo mode

That’s exactly what i used to do, it was fun. The way it is now i don’t see much point in the AI, i just ignore them.
The overall theme for FH4 seems to be 2 steps forward, 2 steps back.
For every amazing new update or feature, they’ve ruined or removed something from FH3.
After reading this thread, I get the impression that not maybe a whole lot of people realize convoy members in FH3 could help you find stuff. On a barn find, I’d put a convoy together and roam around off road in the barn find area. If a drivatar goes near the barn, it will appear on the map. Likewise, for billboards and other undiscovered places on the map. Convoys in single player could be annoying, however, like when they’d ram me or otherwise get in the way while I was trying to build speed for a big jump or post a fast speedtrap time. Still, I wish we had the option for offline drivatar convoys in FH4. Thanks to those who posted here the confirmation that the FH3-style offline convoy is gone. Convoy drivatars in FH3 remind me of real-life drivers who do incomprehensible things for no apparent reason: stopping on the freeway or at a green light, making a right turn from the far left lane (in front of other cars), or driving on the wrong side of the road (seen it a few times but it always is alarming). Maybe the forza horizon ai is more true to life than some folks realize!
I am always playing in the horizon solo because the horizon life is boring.They really need to return the solo drivatar convoy. It’s made the driving way more fun.
Like the championship that they turned it online and ruined it that’s what they did to the convoy.
