DLC cars in showcase events

I was just about to start the Le Mans 250 race and I was hoping to use the new Nissan GT-R LM (to add a big chunk to my Nissan affinity) only to find that I was restricted to a choice of just 3 cars, the Peugeot 908, Audi R18 e-tron or the Audi R15++.

However, a quick look at the starting grid shows that I will be racing against a few other cars that I am not allowed to choose myself, including the Mazda prototype and the Nissan that I really wanted to use!

Does anyone know why this is and if there’s any plans to change this?

Yes I noticed this as well. I hope they will fix this sometime so that new DLC cars will add some new flavor to the showcases as well.

I never understood why they restricted these 3 events to only 3 cars.
