my daughter wanted a color flip paint job that suited her tastes, and this is what we came up with:

I was playing around with layering up various translucent vinyls of different colors and found I could create colors not in the normal pallete of selectable colors.
Here is a F50 with a couple colors of pink, also shared in the F50 designs if you search my creator name

same layers as the pink F50 but with a different base coat. This one has a silvery blue top surface with lavender sides.

Initially, I did not know how to take photos within Forza, in Forzavista… So, I would use the Snipping tool within Windows7, as in the following:

  1. In Forza, select Cars, and My Cars, then view car, then free view, and rotate the right stick for a couple revolutions around the car, (all within 25 seconds or so) then say “Xbox, record that”
  2. go to upload studio, get the clip, trim the clip if necessary, record voice over if wanted, then finish.
  3. after selecting finish, enter filename, key words, then upload.
  4. within upload studio, select the option to “Share and save to OneDrive”
  5. Navigate to OneDrive on your PC
  6. Play the video until the image you want is on the screen, and press pause. (make sure to maximize the video or make it as large on screen as possible for the best image quality/size)
  7. Use the windows snipping tool to cut/clip just the image you want to have as a pic.
  8. select file, saveas, and store on your pc as a JPG.
  9. login to Flickr, and upload the images.

I realize I am not anywhere near at the same level as some of the amazing artists in this forum, but I do believe many of the cars I’ve created are better than a lot of the designs offered by default.
I’ve been having a bunch of fun creating new and different color-flip paint schemes.
Color-flip is when the paint changes color depending on what angle you look at it from.

I have also been creating a bunch of other shades of camo, and playing with candy colors over chrome or other base shades to create custom colors that are not otherwise possible by just painting a single color.

Anyone know how many times your designs need to be downloaded and used before you begin to get paid?
I’ve received a few msgs that my designs are being used and with more use will receive credits just like my drivatar does, but none yet.
Perhaps, it’s because I don’t have any friends besides my own kids on Xbox yet.
I’m new to xbox and Forza; we were previously only on ps2 and ps3.

If anyone would like a different color-flip paint or other colored camo on any other vehicle, just let me know, and I can create it.

The colors or my results are getting richer and better.
Here is one with very bright or fluorescent green with bright yellow/orange color flip in it.
