Control from keyboard only, game will not respond to either gamepad or wheel

I have recently downloaded and installed Forza Motorsport 6: Apex from the store. It loads and runs well on my PC but frustratingly I can only get it to work with my keyboard. Neither my new USB connected CSL Gamepad nor my older Logitech Driving Force GT wheel seem to be recognized by this game. My Logitech Profiler software is recognising both of these controllers and is displaying the correct responses to all the buttons and other controls so I know that the devices are being recognised by Windows 10 with the drivers working correctly. So please advise if both these devices are unsupported by Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, or if you have any suggestions for how I might get one of them to work?

USB Game Controllers: Logitech Driving Force GT wheel and CSL Gamepad for PS3/PC

I’m pleased to say that Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is now working well with my Logitech Driving Force GT wheel. I didn’t change anything. After posting the note above I simply switched off my PC, came back to it the next day, tried again, and everything seemed to work perfectly. I can’t explain why the binding to the app wouldn’t work the first time, but I’m happy that my steering wheel and pedals work with it now.
