Collisions Off racing to avoid ramming

Such players like you could always opt for the “Collisions On” mode when the mode we request comes alive. I don’t see your point here.

You’re in a minority of people and it’s not racing. :+1: Same route every time. Just pick the fastest car, because there’s no battle or variety there. Seems simple enough to me.

(They also aggressively “encourage” participation in every new mode they add**)

Needlessly attacking me personally for stating a fact doesn’t help convince me and yes. Less people cared to vote about this feature than neon under lights alone. People feel strong about the Tsuru. Guage those votes and consider the 90-9-1% rule. It is a minority. Not an insult. Truth.

I beat Boneshakers in all kinds of cars and they beat me. But rarely in open am I deliberately wrecked and certainly not every time there’s a car behind me. Someone even stopped after hitting me off a bridge by accident.

I can’t and thus won’t comment on your driving style. My opinion isn’t going to change, so that’ll be my last reply.

The only way to make them game fun for the majority and for the good etiquette gamers is to have no collisions as default. I find myself racing more in the Hot Wheels expansion where no collisions is the only option. It’s a lot more fun and frankly I don’t care much for Hot Wheels tracks. But even with the tracks I find less fun than the regular game, the racing is more fair. You focus on YOUR race and not someone else’s. The only folks resistant to having collisions remain use ramming to win. Fending off someone from behind by staying in front of them won’t be your focus anymore—you will focus on getting around the track faster than other racers and focusing on YOUR race not someone else’s.

I want that feature back but also don’t want it back. I like the competition of finding a way around some or defend my position. However majority of the people rather slam into the back of my car or they try to push me past a checkpoint. That’s not strategy is just annoying or ruins the game for people who race clean.

The next game should offer choices for how you want to play. If you want to bump and ram there can be that game mode for you.
If you want to drive clean there would be a game mode for that as well.
Or for example stock preset no tune vs tuned cars.
Instead of banning people or expecting everyone to drive one way and putting them all in one race together, offer choices for each type of driver.

Who looks for race is not playing Horizon anymore; They comeback to private lobbys in FM7 or go to F1

Racing isn’t being punted out at the first corner or forced out a checkpoint. Collisions off should be a selectable option. That way everyone is happy.

If nothing else, make this an option in Horizon Open Custom Events, so if we want to race with collisions off, we can all agree in advance by starting/searching for a custom event that has collisions off.

Simply out of the reason that you have insane amounts of ramming and unfair drivers in custom adventures.
give us the FH4 custom adventure options and everything is fine.

I’ve just lost races multiple times because players who aren’t in my race are ramming into my car, wouldn’t it make more sense if you go into a race with somebody, your collisions are turned off for everybody except the person you’re racing?

What would be a better idea is to join a driving club which satisfies your Horizon interests and enjoy the game properly that way. This is how I’ve enjoyed the Horizon games online play over the years.

Give yourselves a proper fun racing experience rather than turning all online races into Rival events.

Therefore, if you wish to get the best out of multiplayer, join a Horizon club :sunglasses::+1:

If you want a hands off casual club all the way to a full mic up competitive club, there’s something for everyone.

I don’t necessarily miss in the main map, but definitely need collisions off for the Rally Adventure opens. The roads are amazing and the most fun pure driving I’ve ever had in a Forza title, but they aren’t suited to crowded PVP collision-on lobbies. No one races with respect, and even with decently driving and normally clean racers, it devolves into a thoroughly unenjoyable experience.

Either turn collisions off, or (bright idea) focus on what makes this expansion SPECIAL: the rally mode. Make the DLC Horizon open collisions-off time trials with pace notes and optional driving line.

I think collisions off is a terrible idea. It’s not racing at that point. Part of the fun of racing is fighting your way through the pack.
Having that better line through a corner to get a pass, not just driving through a ghost.

There were extremely fast people in ghost. Some of us do not want to deal with rammers and wreckers EVERY SINGLE RACE on tracks so full of hairpins it’s unavoidable, so it’s a good option. There was a core group. I would play 10x more than I do. It was careless to not have it. No one is forcing you to do it if you do not like it. Let’s be honest racing is no longer what this game is about. Thank god Motorsport is coming back. 2 Horizons back to back has been unpleasant to say the least.

Yes please. I wanna race and chill without having to worry about rammers.

If you really think that “everyone” wants it back, despite numerous people here proving that wrong, you need to look in the mirror before calling someone delusional.

If it is brought back please listen this time. You cannot have ghost separated into classes. It has to be in one place where you vote on what class. Otherwise it is not going to get populated. Exactly how it was in H3 when it first was released. Otherwise only S1 will ever get any people. You had it in H3. It was perfect. Tons of people until you went and separated everything. I told you that time. I told you in H4 and now I’m telling you again. Otherwise it will be dead for the 3rd time. Try something different. Please. You’ve improved everything else in this game except for the actual racing.
Anyone else have any ideas how to get people in there? That was my experience with it and I was in there a lot. I want it to succeed. The slower players were really intimidated by the faster ones. They would just leave after 1 race. So it was all like FRF or something and me coming in last and I’m at least halfway decent. Sometimes they took pity and let me win. I sucked in there. All aliens. If I was lucky there were 3 or 4 guys like me.
