Class number??

Hello,

First I’m sorry if this is in the wrong section but I have a question that’s bugging me?

Why is it when I go into lobbies for example in R Class my number says 835 yet all other cars are showing 900. Does this mean my car is slower? What I am doing wrong? If I try to tune it I exceed the BHP level?

Thanks in advance

Most likely it’s because you are using a car that is stock and the others have been upgraded. Even with homologation, the cars can be upgraded and still fit within the requirements, though it can be tricky and requires some mixing and matching sometimes.

So does that mean I’m slower then ??

Yes much slower

Ok thank you both for replying. I’ll try and and figure out how I can get my Huracan up to 800 then

The 900 that you speak of is the Performance Index number (PI) for R class. You can upgrade a car to have any power or tyres you wish providing it’s within the PI limit you wish to be.

The BHP and Tyre restrictions you will see only apply to homologation specs for that type of car (835 PI being the PI limit for your car to be within the Forza GT homologation), this can be ignored if you’re in the R Class lobby as you can tune it all the way to 900 Pi with whatever parts you wish.

The lower the PI the lower the performance of the car is a general rule to go by, though you’ll eventually find some are faster at the same value.

I would also like to point out that a higher scoring PI does not equal a better car every time.

I can do perfectly fine in a homologated GT car racing against R900 S7’s and the like.

Gauging ones ability to drive a 1000HP monster or being able to keep your speed through the corners are subjective matters.

There’s is a reason racecars have the tacometer centered and speedometer barely visable.
