That particular Sunbird is based off of the Vega, not the Monza (oddly enough, both/all were based on GM’s H platform). Below is a Sunbird with the same body as the Monza, not the Vega.

1977 Chevrolet Monza Mirage





Specs:

  • Engine: 5.0L V8 (naturally aspirated)
  • Horsepower: 145 @ 3800 rpm
  • Torque: 245 lb-ft @ 2400 rpm
  • Transmission: 4-speed manual (standard), 3-speed automatic (optional)
  • Drivetrain: RWD
  • 0-60: 9.9 seconds
  • Top speed: 119 mph
  • Note: For ‘77, roughly 4097 examples of the Monza Mirage were built by Michigan Auto Techniques Corporation (MATC), though some were made at Chevy dealers, as the body add-ons and stripes were available through the dealer parts department
  • Note #2: The 305 CID V8 was the only available engine choice for all ‘77 Mirages
