While the Ford Crown Victoria is regarded as one of the most iconic Taxi Cab’s in the United States, when you want to talk about THE definitive American taxi cab, then you can think of none other than the Checker Marathon! With a design philosophy hailing back to the 50’s, Checker manufactured these up into the 80’s with minimal changes, apart from larger bumpers to conform to evolving crash safety regulations. With the recent addition of the Nissan Tsuru, I feel now is the perfect time to add the Checker Marathon into the mix!
