Changing the game's language [PC]

Is there any sensible way to change the language ? It’s automatically in my system’s language which is TERRIBLY translated, I can’t stand it. I know that FM7 has the option to change the language but I can’t see it here. I don’t want to change my system language to change the game’s language, it’s really annoying.

Yeah i already posted a thread about this.
I do hope they add a language selector cause the French Voiceover is just aweful… really aweful.

Well based on the czech translation, I can imagine man… It’s ridiculous issue to deal with in the modern day of gaming I think. There should be language select, either in the game or the MS store.

I am from Poland and I managed to change the language from Polish to English by going into the Control Panel region settings, and changing the Format option from Polish to English (United Kingdom). This has changed the game language as well without changing the language of the operating system.

Mate, you are the lifesaver. I dont even know why my game shows another language.

I am a Turkish player, the subtitles aren’t bad but because that I’m used to English I can’t understand some things. I know that you can change the language by changing the Windows’ language. By the way I need to change the language on my xbox without changing the console language can you guys help me please

Just bumping this thread for attention.
We really need a better way how to change the language in FH4.

I did not pay 2500 CZK for the Ultimate Edition just to play it with a terrible translation(!).

Please add an in-game option to switch languages without having to change the OS settings.
I am baffled how did this even get past QA or any decision making person.

I have noticed this only after installing the game on my desktop. Why? Because I have the region on my laptop switched to the US. When I downloaded FH4 on my desktop and it was in Czech I was like "[Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]. Changing the region fixed it but… I can’t use Store on that machine so I have to use my laptop to buy stuff in Windows Store. Fortunately, I don’t have to do so often.

What !? I’ve noticed lack of language switch in the demo, but the full game can’t do that either !? Well, that’s 70 euros less for you Microsoft. I knew I should not preorder.

The German version is bearable but I prefer to play my games in English. And without fiddling around in the system settings.

They’ll ignore our wishes just like they did for FH3 but yes, please let us choose the language in game. Or can someone on the dev team give me a reason? Is this one of these weird policies from the higher-ups that make no sense?

Agreed, this problem is unacceptable. Why on earth does it auto select the language based on region and not system language preferences?

My region is Czech Republic, but all of my language settings are for English. Every other game on Xbox selects English or gives me the choice, except this one. Strangely, FH3 plays in English just fine on exactly the same Xbox one X with exactly the same settings. Surely this is a bug? If it is intentional, it is a really bizarre choice.

It must be a mistake as it selects language based on region rather than preferences. I hope this gets fixed soon as changing region and restarting the console is a pain. This will probably be my last Forza game if this trend continues.

We had the very same issue with FH3.

Good to know M$ is just plain too lazy to add a CORE-Feature.

im Poortuguese and my game is in english, how i change?? i want in myy linguagee…

This surprised me too, even tho I have my windows in english, the game ran in czech, had to change my location then it switched to english.

This week forzathon challenge in Czech Language used term “Kdo z koho” for Gauntlet race which is named “Klub rváčů” in Czech localization. I would never ever figured it out without helpful community. Switching language to English would be greatly appreciated.
